PUBG Esports has revealed the second wave of PUBG Global Partner Team Edition Skins for the remainder of the 2025 season.

The Expendables, Team Falcons, Gen.G, Petrichor Road, and 17 Gaming have designed the cosmetics, available for fans to purchase for 990 G-Coin.

The range of cosmetics features a range of exclusive weapon skins and nameplates for the five esports organisations competing in the battle royale title.

Each set designed by the organisation has an exclusive skin for a different weapon or in-game item.

PC players can get their hands on the skin bundles from October 22nd until November 19th, while access for console players begins on October 23rd and runs until November 20th.

The second wave of Team Edition Skins comes two months after the launch of the first batch, which included bundles for Four Angry Men, DN Freecs, Twisted Minds, EARENA, and NAVI.

For those who missed out on purchasing the Team Edition Skins during the allotted time, KRAFTON stated that the cosmetics may return at a later date.

PUBG’s Team Support Efforts

25% of the net sales from the Team Edition Skins will go directly to the title’s Global Partner Teams, providing an additional revenue stream for organisations fielding rosters in PUBG tournaments.

In addition to a share of sales, PUBG’s partnered teams also receive guaranteed participation in PUBG Global Series events taking place across the year.

The next stop in the PUBG esports calendar is the PUBG Global Series 10 2025 event.

Taking place from October 27th to November 2nd, 24 teams will compete for a share of a $300,000 (~£224,932) prize pool and PGS Points that determine which teams qualify for the Global Championship.

VCT Pacific’s Team Secret parts ways with three players

Team Secret releases three VALORANT players

Team Secret has released Sha ‘ZesBeeW’ Mohtar, Brheyanne ‘Wild0reoo’ Reyes and Nguyễn ‘n1zzy’ Tấn Thành from its VALORANT roster.

As a result, only two members from its VCT 2025 roster, Adrian ‘invy’ Reyes and Kelly ‘kellyS’ Sedillo, remain with the organisation.

Though primarily known for its Dota 2 and Counter-Strike activities, Team Secret has been competing in Pacific’s VALORANT esports scene since signing the former Bren Esports roster in 2021.

However, the organisation has only attended two international tier-one tournaments so far: VALORANT Champions 2021 and LOCK//In São Paulo in 2023.

Similarly, Team Secret has suffered early elimination at every VCT Pacific competition this year (Kickoff, Stage 1 and Stage 2), winning only two out of its twelve total matches.

The disappointing results already prompted the team to make significant roster changes mid-season. Following the conclusion of VCT Stage 1 in May, Team Secret parted ways with James ‘2GE’ Goopio and benched Jeremy ‘Jremy’ Cabrera, who has since moved on to Japanese organisation REJECT.

Moreover, the squad’s former in-game leader (IGL) Jessie Cristy ‘JessieVash’ Cuyco went on hiatus to focus on streaming.

More Roster Changes For Team Secret

“Today we wish farewell to ZesBeeW, n1zzy and Wild0reoo,” announced Team Secret earlier today.

“This iteration of the Adobo Gang felt like a family to us, but unfortunately did not work out. We wish them the best ahead, hoping to see them on stage again soon.”

ZesBeeW and n1zzy had joined Team Secret in May, while Wild0reoo had been with the team since May last year.

Rumours about ZesBeeW’s departure from the roster had already begun circulating in October, when the player shared that he was exploring other options as a free agent.

League of Legends: All Worlds Champion skins and how to get them

Esports Team

TL;DR

  • League of Legends Worlds skins celebrate the annual LoL Worlds Championship-winning teams.
  • Each winning team member picks a hero to receive the skin, which immortalises their team victory.
  • There is also one World Champions LoL skin for a particular hero every year, though this skin celebrates the tournament as a whole rather than one person or team.
  • The LoL Worlds skins can only be bought when the Legacy Vault opens.
  • When available, the LoL Worlds skins can be bought for RP. The only exception to this is Prestige T1 Sylas, as this skin costs 150 Mythic Essence.

The League of Legends World Championship skins are a great way to commemorate the victories of each winning team at the annual League of Legends World Championship tournament. Whether you’re an avid follower of the LoL Worlds tournament or are just looking for a cool skin for a hero you like, then the Worlds skins could be just what you’re looking for.

We’re going to be looking at all the LoL Worlds skins that have been released over the past 14 years of the tournament. Keep in mind that this doesn’t include the skins for the tournament’s 15th champions, as at the time of writing, LoL Worlds is ongoing, and the winners have yet to be decided. We’re also going to be looking at both the team skins and the individual champion skins that are also released every year to celebrate the tournament.

What are League of Legends Worlds skins?

A group of LoL characters poses heroically on icy steps

Two categories of skins come under the theme of LoL Worlds: winning team skins and championship skins. Let’s begin with the team skins. Every year, the winners of the LoL Worlds tournament receive in-game skins for LoL heroes of the players’ choosing (although there are a few restrictions that Riot Games enforces, such as only allowing players to choose a character they have played during the tournament). These skins are themed around the team and remain permanently in the game. Players worldwide can obtain them for years to come, immortalising the players and their victories.

In addition to this, there are championship skins. Along with the winning team skins, one championship skin is released for one hero each year. This is a more generalised skin that doesn’t celebrate one person or a team individually. Instead, it represents the tournament itself. Each year, the individual champion skins tend to have the same colour palette – blue, silver, and gold – and they fit into certain criteria set by the developers. Much like with the team skins, the championship skin has to fit the criteria, and some factors can exclude a champion from receiving a skin. The main factor for a champion to be chosen is for them to have a substantial impact on the competitive League of Legends scene and the professional meta during the season leading up to Worlds.

Let’s first take a look at all the team-based Worlds skins that are available in League of Legends. There have been 14 years’ worth of victories (with the 15th tournament currently underway), so there are quite a few skins for different heroes.

How to get LoL Worlds skins

The World’s Champion skins can only be found in the Legacy Vault, but they can be bought with the regular RP in-game currency when the vault opens. Older skins are cheaper, but even newer ones aren’t too pricey. The only issue with obtaining the skins is having to wait until the Legacy Vault opens before they can be bought.

Conclusion

That’s everything you need to know about the LoL Worlds Champions skins. These skins have always been a fantastic way for Riot Games to commemorate the winners of the Worlds tournament throughout the years. The individual champion skins might not be for particular people, but they do celebrate the heroes that have made League of Legends so engaging for over 15 years. Once the Legacy Vault opens up, the World’s skins become readily available for RP, so be sure to grab one when you have the opportunity.

Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont has hit back following a post by Movistar co-founder Adam ‘Grazen’ Adamou, who seemed to criticise the Los Ratones project as about “trolling or streaming.”

Following Caedrel’s message, fellow MKOI co-founder Ibai Llanos jumped to his colleague’s defence, in a post that exposed the tension between Riot and its partner orgs.

The post followed Karmine Corp Blue’s hugely impressive victory over Los Ratones in the EMEA Masters Semi-Finals, which KC Blue won 3-0.

100 Thieves parts ways with VALORANT player Kess and Head Coach Zikz

100 Thieves has announced the departure of player Drew ‘Kess’ Lee and Head Coach Anthony ‘Zikz’ Gray from its VALORANT roster.

Kess had just joined 100 Thieves in July this year, while Zikz had been with the North American organisation since 2023.

Kess has been active in the VALORANT esports scene since 2021, representing a myriad of tier-three and tier-two organisations. Prior to his contract with 100 Thieves, the sentinel/flex player competed for QoR Gaming in the North American Challengers ecosystem.

In response to last night’s announcement from 100 Thieves, Kess shared via his personal X (formerly Twitter) account: “Nothing but grateful! Still looking for any opportunities!”

Coach Zikz started his esports career in Riot Games’ MOBA title, League of Legends. In April 2022, he transitioned to VALORANT, initially coaching North American esports organisation NRG.

Zikz also worked as an Assistant Coach under Evil Geniuses’ coaching legend Christine ‘potter’ Chi during the team’s runner-up performance at Masters Tokyo 2023 and its successful VALORANT Champions 2023 run.

“Thanks to all of the players and staff close to the team that I worked with every day during my tenure at 100 Thieves – we built so many memories and achieved a great deal in these two years,” commented Zikz on his departure from 100 Thieves.

Ongoing Roster Changes

Whilst currently competing in Riot’s franchised VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT), 100 Thieves has been part of the game’s competitive scene since 2020.

Among its best international achievements are a third- to fourth-place finish at Masters Berlin 2021 and a fourth-place finish at Masters Shanghai last year.

This season, 100 Thieves failed to qualify for both Masters events, leading to the departure of in-game leader (IGL) Kelden ‘Boostio’ Pupello in July. However, during VCT Americas Stage 2, the team suffered another early Playoffs elimination despite promising Group Stage showings.

As a result, the organisation revealed major rebuilding plans for its 2026 VCT roster in September. Although the remaining four members still have contracts with 100 Thieves for another year, the roster has all been allowed to explore options during the ongoing off-season.

Battlefield 6 is riding high, but for how long?

Esports Team

TL;DR

  • BF6 is Battlefield’s best-selling title in its first week, selling seven million copies.
  • Battlefield 6’s current player peak on Steam is recorded at 656,057, and it is the fourth most-played game.
  • Titles like Black Ops 7, Escape From Duckov, and Arc Raiders may impact player count in the coming months.
  • Bugs, glitches, and the Season 1 roadmap will all need to be dialled in for player enjoyment.

So, the new Battlefield entrant did it? Battlefield 6 was released to huge hype, and although the work continues, it feels like it’s been a largely successful launch. Sadly, for developers, a title’s initial success doesn’t always guarantee ongoing joy. And for BF6, it has EA’s lofty 100 million player number to strive for, meaning there’s plenty of miles to travel.

Will it get there? As much as releasing ahead of the holidays makes sense for a triple-A title. It’s also a difficult period to navigate. Below, we’ll take a look at Battlefield 6’s initial and current standing. Plus, with potential threats from other titles, we’ll consider how outside influences, technical issues, and content plans may impact its trajectory.

Battlefield 6: Story so far

A soldier in camo gear and glasses stands on a dimly lit military ship in BF 6
BF6 surprised few with its massive launch / Image credit: EA

According to EA itself, which published an October 16 press release, Battlefield 6 shattered records, “becoming the biggest launch in franchise history.” The game reportedly sold over seven million copies as of that date, and hit the highest all-time concurrent player count in franchise history. According to Steam Charts, its peak so far has been 656,067 players.

Those are impressive numbers, particularly with the prior series standout, BF3, netting five million sales. As such, BF6 can clearly be considered successful compared to other Battlefield games. Gaming-wise, the launch weekend felt colossal, too. This writer logged on as access was granted via Steam and was met with an eye-watering queue position of 423,600.

Such hype just isn’t usual for Battlefield games, and many gamers have voiced that it was more akin to CoD levels of release day anticipation. BF6’s launch has had a massive impact on console and PC gamers, but it’s easier to quantify on PC, as Steam Charts has it recorded as the fourth most-played game, behind stalwarts CS2, Dota 2, and PUBG.

Battlefield 6: Competition

BF 6 scene shows a character with a backpack facing a zombie-like creature
Arc Raiders may be one title to sap players from BF6 / Image credit: EA

Black Ops 7

What I’m wondering is, “How long will such a high player base be there?”. That will remain an important question throughout the rest of 2025, given the competition emerging. The most obvious rival is Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. And although CoD does seem to have fallen from grace, Black Ops 6 delivered the biggest Call of Duty launch ever.

There are whispers about Black Ops 7 pre-orders, yet no numbers have been shared by Activision. What we do know is that the Black Ops 7 beta test hit a peak of just 75,000 players on Steam. Compare that to the more than 520,000 players for the BF6 beta, and it may be that Battlefield 6 needn’t actually worry about its most obvious foe.

Escape from Duckov

CoD aside, there could be multiple aggressors to draw players away from BF6’s all-out warfare. Odd as it may seem, Escape from Duckov could be one title that offers a fresh alternative. A duck-themed looter-shooter may not be on many people’s radar. However, as I write, it’s currently fifth in the Steam Charts, one place behind Battlefield 6.

Arc Raiders

A more natural threat? Arc Raiders. A title that may appeal to adventure and exploration fans as well as PvP lovers. And the recent Arc Raiders Server Slam success was impressive. It’s not a direct competitor, but it still amassed 190,000 players in its play test. It may offer an enjoyable alternative to draw gamers away from BF6’s game modes.

Battlefield 6: Issues

Post on X from Battlefield Bulletin
This isn’t even all of the known BF6 bugs / Image credit: X

Perhaps Battlefield 6 needn’t worry about any competition, though. Although players may be drawn in multiple directions when new titles arrive, focusing on fixes and more content is what’s essential. We already know that the BF6 Season 1 Roadmap kicks off this month. Yet some issues persist from launch, and when we say some, we mean…quite a few.

Bugs

Some players are still missing their pre-order Phantom Edition rewards, Battlefield Portal has been home to XP Farms, and PC players have reported performance drops due to memory leaks. Additional bugs and glitches affecting the title have been reported, too, and posts by Battlefield Bulletin provide further context.

These issues may be resolved speedily, but there is still a question of ongoing content enjoyment. Ripple Effect Studios’ Vince Zampella has been vocal about monthly content updates and keeping BF6 fresh. That’s key, because a focus on fun will be needed in the months to come. While glitches can cause gnawing frustration, BF6 gamers must want to keep coming back.

Season 1 and Battle Royale

As for the Season 1 roadmap, it shows promise. However, it is concerning that no larger game modes are coming in 2025. With Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale not given an official release date, fans of larger warfare may be left wanting, even if leaker Shaun Weber has claimed the Battle Royale is arriving in Season 1.

Ultimately, such initial success is uncharted territory for a Battlefield game. The BF6 devs will be well aware of the need to firefight on all fronts, and the upcoming period feels critical in delivering fixes, a smooth roll-out of further content, and balancing community wants with technical priorities. How long can Battlefield 6 keep soaring? As ever, gamers decide.

Conclusion

A suited man stands in a dimly lit room with armed soldiers in tactical gear, in BF 6
BF6 has more work to do to secure its place / Image credit: EA

Battlefield 6 has performed phenomenally, establishing itself both as one of the most played games on Steam and the most successful Battlefield launch ever. But big launches don’t always mean a long lifespan of ever-eager gamers. Battlefield 6 has competitors, bugs, and its own content roadmap to consider in the coming months.

Each of those elements needs to be addressed adequately if Battlefield 6 is to retain an impressive player base into the future. Will EA’s 100 million player goal be realised? It’s a lofty hope. So far, it feels as though BF6 has more than lived up to its early expectations. Gamers can keep the title on the up, but the developers need to give gamers the impetus.

FAQs

What era is BF6 set in?

Battlefield 6 is set in 2027-2028, in a fictional timeline where NATO is at risk of collapse and a threat known as Pax Armata is pushing to establish itself as a global military power.

How popular is BF6?

BF6 is the most popular Battlefield game of all time, selling seven million copies in its first week. It’s currently the fourth most-played game on Steam.

Is BF6 getting a battle royale mode?

Yes, BF6 is getting a battle royale mode, although no official release date has yet been confirmed. Rumours suggest that it may be arriving in the Season 1 roadmap, which would mean that it will become available before the end of 2025. However, this is speculation.

VALORANT Challengers Path to Champions slot distribution and eligibility revealed

Esports Team

VCT 2026 Challengers Path to Champions

Riot Games has announced further details surrounding its Path to Champions initiative for VALORANT Challengers in 2026.

This includes slot distribution across all VCT International Leagues, eligibility criteria, financial support and more.

Regional Slot Distribution

Every VCT International League will feature four Challengers teams in Stage 2 Playoffs.

Moreover, every team that secures a place in at Path to Champions will receive a $75,000 (~£56,331) stipend to cover costs such as travel, visas, and more.

Here’s how the organisation’s will be determined:

VCT Americas

VCL North America and Brazil will each promote one squad, while the LATAM North and South Challengers Leagues will jointly send one team.

The final slot will be decided through a Last Chance Qualifier featuring the second seeds from North America and Brazil, along with the loser of the LATAM finals.

VCT EMEA

The Challengers teams qualifying for the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Playoffs will be determined through the region’s points system across all of its regional leagues.

VCT China

Riot Games will announce details about the promotion of teams to VCT China at a later date.

VCT Pacific

The top Challengers teams from Southeast Asia, Japan, and Korea each will directly advance to the Stage 2 Playoffs. The final slot will be decided through a Last Chance Qualifier featuring the first seeds from South Asia and Oceania, along with the second and third seeds from Southeast Asia.

Eligibility for Path to Champions

Similar to the previous format, Academy rosters will not be eligible for the Path to Champions programme, though teams are still allowed to compete in the tournaments. Riot Games has; however, removed relegation protection from the teams, and if an academy team finishes at the bottom, it will have to fight for its spot.

Affiliate teams, on the other hand, will be eligible for qualification, and if a roster advances to the VCT, the partnership does not need to be terminated. However, VCT roster restrictions will apply throughout the Stage 2 Playoffs and Champions roster lock periods.

Lastly, the minimum age required for a player to be part of a Challengers roster is 16 for the Americas, Pacific, and EMEA regions, and 18 for China.
