Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the latest title in the Call of Duty series, the 22nd mainline entry, and the eighth for the Black Ops series. Co-developed by Raven Software and Treyarch, many fans are looking forward to its November 14 release on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox consoles, as well as PC.
Taking control of David “Section” Mason in the campaign across 11 missions, it looks to be a narrative that’s more in-depth and more engaging than what came before. But it’s the multiplayer and Zombie modes that players are looking forward to playing most. With this in mind, we’re laying out what we know about the release times and preload information for Black Ops 7 once it lands on November 14.
Black Ops 7: Release times

Although Activision has yet to confirm specific times for Black Ops 7’s release, some on Reddit may have stumbled upon it. On the game’s page via the PlayStation Network store, it lists a time of midnight on November 14 for when the title will be available. On the U.S. Store, there’s a time of 05:00 GMT, which lines up with the time difference for the UK.
This is the same as 2024’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, when the game was made available at midnight around the world. But for the PC version, it was slightly different. Below are the local times for the mentioned locations for when Black Ops 6 launched on PC:
- Los Angeles: October 24 at 9 PM
- Mexico City: October 24 at 10 PM
- New York: October 25 at 12 AM
- London: October 25 at 5 AM
- Paris: October 25 at 6 AM
It’s unclear why Black Ops 6 on PC didn’t launch at midnight like its console ports, but it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that Black Ops 7 will follow the same release rollout on November 14. However, as we’re expecting a preload to happen before release day, we recommend downloading Black Ops 7 as soon as it’s possible. This way, you can play the game on November 14 once it launches. Once we hear confirmation from Activision, we will update this article with the official times.
Black Ops 7: What’s in the preload?

At the time of writing, Activision hasn’t confirmed what will be in the inevitable Black Ops 7 preload before its November 14 launch. But, looking at the launch of Black Ops 6, we imagine the preload will begin from the start of November.
For those unaware, preloading is a way of downloading a big chunk of a game before it’s officially made available to players. This way, a title can be playable on its release date instead of making it available to download. It’s essentially similar to buying a boxed game — you can play it straight away.
Looking at when preload occurred for last year’s Black Ops 6, the game’s release date was October 25, 2024, but players could download it from October 21. As Black Ops 7 launches on Friday, November 14, it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that the game’s preload will start from Monday, November 10.
But another aspect of a preload is the disk space it will take up on your PC or chosen console. Black Ops 6 was 102GB, and before that, 2023’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III was 51GB. With more detailed graphics this time and an even bigger focus on a campaign mode, we wouldn’t be surprised if Black Ops 7’s preload was around 150GB.
However, as Activision has yet to confirm when preload will happen this year, as well as the size of its download, we’ll update this article when they do.
Conclusion
Over 22 years since the first Call of Duty game debuted, there’s still a big appetite for the series. We’re weeks away from having Black Ops 7 available to play for consoles and PC, and Treyarch is already refining the Multiplayer mode, thanks to the recent Open Beta, held between October 6-9. Combined with the Campaign mode headed up by actor Milo Ventimiglia, all three modes could appeal to both new and old Call of Duty players.
We’ll update this article once we know what’s in the Preload for Black Ops 7, as well as its release dates worldwide on both PC and consoles. But for now, the newest title in the Call of Duty series looks set to be much-improved on 2024’s Black Ops 6, with new weapons, a refined Zombies mode, and a campaign full of depth.
