After rapidly rising through the VRS in 2025, FURIA have finally claimed an IEM LAN trophy in the IEM Chengdu Finals. They also became the first majority Brazilian team to win an IEM title in eight years.
Meanwhile, Team Vitality were unable to return to their early 2025 winning form.
FURIA stomp Team Vitality in 3-0 Chengdu Grand Final
Despite Team Vitality’s best efforts, the former unbeatable team were denied any map wins in the IEM Chengdu Grand Final.
FURA started strong on Map 1, Ancient, exhibiting good map control but narrowly avoiding overtime to take the map 13-11.
As Map 2, Inferno, began, Team Vitality looked as though they would be able to pull back a map of their own.
