FURIA crowned IEM Chengdu 2025 champions

FURIA has been crowned the champions of Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Chengdu 2025 after defeating Team Vitality 3-0 in the Grand Finals.

The team competed in the Counter-Strike 2 tournament from November 3rd to 9th, 2025 and claimed the lion’s share of a $300,000 (~£231,000) prize pool.

FURIA was invited to the tournament as the top-ranking team in the Americas regional standings for August 2025, facing off against 15 of the top teams around the world.

The roster clawed its way into the Playoffs after defeating G2 Esports 2-0 in the Group Stage, but losing to MOUZ 2-1. It fought it’s way to the Grand Finals after defeating The MongolZ 2-0, Team Falcons 2-0, before facing Team Vitality in the last match of the tournament.

FURIA’s victory in IEM Chengdu 2025 adds to what has been a strong season for the organisation. It previously won the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 after defeating Natus Vincere 3-2 in the Grand Finals, and lifted the FISSURE Playground 2 trophy by scoring 3-2 against The MongolZ.

IEM Chengdu Viewership

According to Esports Charts, IEM Chengdu attracted strong viewership despite not ranking among the most popular events of the Counter-Strike 2 2025 season.

It saw a peak viewership of 774,274 during the Grand Finals match between FURIA and Team Vitality. The stream accumulated nearly 13.7m hours watched, with an average viewership of over 240,000 across an air time of 57 hours.

IEM Chengdu 2025 fell behind other events held this year, including IEM Katowice 2025 with 1.29m peak viewership, and the BLAST.tv Austin Major with over 1.7m.
