Brazilian esports organisation FURIA is first in the global Valve Regional Standings (VRS) for January 2026, keeping hold of the top spot it secured in November 2025.
The January VRS holds significant value, determining the invitations for four Tier 1 CS2 events taking place over the next four months.
Unveiled on January 5th, the latest edition of the global standings follows the conclusion of Fragadelphia’s Frag Miami 2 event, which was won by NRG.
As a result of securing victory and GamerLegion taking third place, the two teams have grabbed invites to compete in the first stage of IEM Kraków, taking place from January 28th to February 8th.
In addition to determining invites for IEM Kraków, January’s VRS also decides which teams will attend PGL Cluj-Napoca, ESL Pro League Season 23, and IEM Rio. ESL and PGL have yet to reveal the teams that have accepted invites to these events.
After winning the StarLadder Budapest Major, Team Vitality has climbed to second place in the global standings, pushing Team Falcons down to third.
Elsewhere, FaZe Clan has broken into the top ten after reaching the Grand Final at the Hungarian capital. The international roster climbs ten places from its December ranking of 17th. Another notable mover is Ninjas in Pyjamas. Following a top-20 finish in Budapest, the Swedish organisation climbs into the top 20 for the first time since October.
