Mongolian esports organisation The Huns Esports has signed Unudelger ‘controlez‘ Baasanjargal to its Counter-Strike 2 roster.

The 28-year-old rifler joins following a two-month stint representing The MongolZ as a temporary stand-in.

Unveiled on January 6th, 2026, controlez completes the all-Mongolian line-up, hoping to build on the region’s continued growth and success in high-profile tournaments across the globe.

Controlez is one of the most experienced Mongolian players competing in CS2 and has competed in tournaments since 2017. Over the past nine years, he has represented the likes of Chinggis Warriors, Checkmate, and most recently, The MongolZ.

During his time on The MongolZ, controlez scored a top-six finish at IEM Chengdu 2025, along with consecutive top-eight placements at BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 and the StarLadder Budapest Major.

The signing of controlez follows the departure of Anarbileg ‘cobrazera‘ Uuganbayar, who departed The Huns Esports in late 2025 to join The MongolZ for the 2026 season. Last year, the organisation made several signings, including Badral ‘carnage‘ Purevkhuu as its new coach.

What Next For The Huns Esports

Currently ranked 68th in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), the arrival of controlez brings a wealth of experience alongside high-impact fragging firepower that has the potential to see the team start climbing the ranks.

The team is set to begin the season competing in the closed qualifiers for the Zhi-Tech Elite Masters, a Chinese LAN event offering teams a chance to earn early VRS points as the race to secure a place at the IEM Cologne Major begins.

Eight teams from the closed qualifiers secure a place at the LAN finals and an opportunity to earn a share of the ¥300,000 CNY (~£31,756) prize pool. The winner of the event also earns the chance to compete in the closed qualifier for the Asian Champions League (ACL), taking place in late April.
