World Series of Warzone winner Hisoka reveals switch to Call of Duty Challengers

World Series of Warzone winner and Esports World Cup champion Kasimili ‘Hisoka‘ Tongamoa has announced plans to compete in Call of Duty Challengers.

The in-game leader for Team Falcons is the latest high-profile Call of Duty: Warzone player looking to switch from the battle royale title to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Announced on January 7th, 2026, Hisoka’s short social media post quickly gained traction with several fans expressing their thoughts on the Warzone player deciding to transfer his skills over to the Challengers scene.

Call of Duty Challengers is the second tier of competition, providing amateur teams with a platform to showcase their skills. From January 7th to 22nd, top European and North American sides will compete in the first Elite event of the season.

Hisoka isn’t the only member of Team Falcons who has considered a move away from the battle royale title. In October 2025, Shifty hinted at plans to switch to Black Ops 7, but continues to compete in high-profile Warzone tournaments.

Activision has yet to share details on what the 2026 Warzone season has in store following the conclusion of 2025’s World Series of Warzone circuit. In December 2025, the publisher commemorated the esports circuit with the addition of in-game banners acknowledging the winners of the World Series of Warzone 2025 Global Finals and the Esports World Cup.

Hisoka’s switch to Black Ops 7 continues the trend of esports players from other titles trying their hand at competing in Activision’s first-person shooter title. Former Halo world champion Jonathan ‘Renegade‘ Willette joined OpTic Gaming’s Huntsmen brand and will compete in Challengers Elite later this month.

If Hisoka commits to the switch, it will be interesting to see if his Warzone skills can transfer across to Black Ops 7 and whether he can compete at the top of a highly competitive Challengers scene.
