What is the ALGS 2026 Championship?

The 40 best international Apex Legends teams, from Alliance to Gen.G Esports, will compete in Sapporo, Japan, to conclude Year 5 of the ALGS.

Starting from the Group Stage, teams will battle for a place in the Finals to be crowned this season’s winner and claim the lion’s share of a $2m (~£1.48m) prize pool.

Teams will first be divided into four groups of ten, competing against teams from other groups to decide the seedings for the Bracket Stage. Then the top 20 teams, 10 from each bracket, will move on to the Finals.

The Finals will utilise a match-point system, where the first team to secure a battle-royale victory after reaching 50 points will be crowned the Year 5 champion.
