2XKO Esports in 2026

Riot Games also shared what to expect from the fighting game’s esports scene throughout the year, including a deep dive into its 2026 Competitive Series.
Developers explained that rather than organise its own league, similarly to VALORANT and League of Legends, Riot Games will instead partner with 20 community-organised 2XKO events. The partnerships will bring direct monetary support, promotion on official Riot channels, and prize pool buffs.
The 2026 Competitive Series includes five majors and 15 challenger events in total. Starting from Season 1, each season will feature one major and three challengers, with five seasons scheduled for 2026.
The first major kicks off later in January 2026 with the Frosty Faustings XVIII FGC festival, followed by three challenger events in Genesis, Texas Showdown and Viennality from February to March.
The developers also revealed a competitive ‘Frame Perfect’ theme skin set that will be available during Season 1. A portion of the proceeds will go towards supporting 2XKO tournament organisers worldwide, such as funding prize pools and covering tournament costs.
