FIA Motorsport Games champion James Baldwin has signed with long-standing sim racing team Team Redline.

The UK-based sim racer will represent the team across a range of upcoming sim racing competitions, joining its extensive roster of drivers from around the world.

Baldwin becomes the fifth British sim racer to join Team Redline’s active roster, joining the likes of Sebastian Job, Chris Lulham, and Luke McKeown. McKeown is one of six drivers representing the team in the iRacing Daytona 24 Hours, taking place from January 17th to 18th.

Baldwin is one of the most successful sim racers in the world. In 2019, he won Season 2 of the World’s Fastest Gamer, securing a $1m (~£744,793) scholarship to compete in a full season of real-world racing. Alongside his World’s Fastest Gamer victory, he also won the eRace of Champions (eROC), securing entry into the real-world Race of Champions.

The sim racer was one of the first virtual drivers to transfer his skills to real-world motorsport. In 2025, he entered the Silver Cup class of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, scoring a second-place finish at the Nurburgring.

Last year saw Team Redline celebrate its 25th anniversary, cementing its place as one of the longest-standing esports teams in the world.

Team Redline In 2026

The signing of Baldwin is another high-profile signing for Team Redline, which has already begun the 2026 season on the front foot.

Luke McKeown dominated the opening round of the IndyCar Thrustmaster iRacing Pro Series, winning from pole position ahead of fellow Team Redline driver Diogo Pinto, who completed a 1-2 finish for the team.

Team Redline is known for its affiliation with four-time Formula One world champion Max Verstappen, who has represented the team since 2015. In addition to sim racing, the team is involved in Verstappen.com Racing, which recruited Lulham as one of its three drivers to compete in the GT World Challenge Europe season.
