Both of Aurora Gaming’s rosters, one from Turkey and the Philippines, along with Team Liquid PH have made it to the MLBB M7 Championship Knockout Stage.

While Team Liquid PH dominated in its match, Turkey’s Aurora Gaming roster and Aurora PH recorded close victories in their respective showdowns.

Team Liquid PH and Aurora PH secure Knockout Stage slots for the Philippines

Team Liquid and Aurora PH were expected to book a Knockout Stage slot earlier in the Swiss Stage. However, the top two teams from the Philippines were at the receiving end of several upsets.

Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants denied Team Liquid PH after a 2-1 nail-biter. In the end, Team Liquid PH faced off against Yangon Galacticos, a team which managed to beat ONIC earlier in the Swiss Stage. However, Yangon was no match for a resurgent Team Liquid.

Showing why it is one of the most experienced rosters, Team Liquid PH dominated map control and macro play, disallowing Yangon any chance to gain momentum across both matches to win 2-0.

Aurora PH, on the other hand, was up against Team Secret. For the latter, the journey in the Swiss Stage has not been an easy one, constantly being drawn against strong opponents. This included SRG, ONIC, and now Aurora PH.

The team came into this match after a win against ONIC and was looking to carry that momentum. In fact, Team Secret initially managed to do just that, dominating map control and objectives throughout the early and mid-game, building a significant lead.

However, in a stroke of bad luck, while battling for the third Lord, Aurora PH managed to kill the entire team and snatch the win.

The second match was close as well, with both teams trading kills in the early game. However, Aurora was able to win later teamfights and secure the 2-0 win.

Aurora Gaming’s Turkish roster also secured a Knockout Stage berth after a close 2-1 win over Middle Eastern giants Team Falcons. The series stayed close throughout, with both teams trading momentum across all three games.

Aurora took Game 1 by snowballing an early lead, helped by Sidar ‘Tienzy’ Menteşe’s unexpected Harley pick, the hero’s first appearance on the world stage since M3 in 2021.

Aurora looked to close out the series in Game 2 after securing an early lead. However, Team Falcons managed to overturn a 4,000-gold deficit to force a decider.

The final game was decided around a 17-minute Lord fight, where Aurora came out on top to secure the win.

Now, only two more days are left of the M7 World Championship’s Swiss Stage as nine teams fight for the remaining three Knockout Stage spots. Fans can catch the action live on the MLBB esports YouTube channel.
