Korean esports organisation Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) has announced a partnership with Naver streaming platform CHZZK.

The collaboration includes exclusive content and IP-based collaborations with the League of Legends team to bolster the overall fan experience.

With the signing of HLE, all 10 LCK teams have officially signed with a streaming platform partner. The LCK 2025 champions will be joining Nongshim Redforce and Hanjin BRION under the CHZZK banner, while SOOP has closed out deals with the remaining seven teams, including T1, Gen.G, and KT Rolster.

Naver’s Fight For Esports Streaming Supremacy

Launched in April 2024, Naver’s CHZZK has been seeking to capture a significant share of the user base in the gaming and esports segments while in competition with SOOP, previously known as AfreecaTV.

The two platforms have been competing heavily over the past two years to fill the void left by Twitch, which exited the Korean market in 2023. As part of a strategy to increase the number of users across both platforms, both signed a major broadcasting rights deal with Riot Games for the Korean league, lasting until 2030.

While SOOP was able to get a larger share of teams under its partnership portfolio, Naver secured naming rights for the venue hosting the LCK, LoL PARK, with CHZZK-branded seating zones and a newly built operations booth.

According to data collected from Stream Charts, CHZZK reached an all-time peak of 779,677 viewers on the platform on November 9th, 2025, the day of the grand final between T1 and KT Rolster at Worlds 2025. Over the last seven days, the average of concurrent viewers is around 131,000 people.

“Through our collaboration with Hanwha Life Esports, Naver will communicate more closely with esports fans and create an ecosystem where content and community grow together beyond streaming,” said Joo Kun-beom, Naver’s Sports & Entertainment Service Leader.

“We will continue to strengthen Chzzk’s competitive edge in esports through various partnerships.”
