TL;DR

  • This League of Legends jungle tier list was made in February 2026, according to the new patch.
  • The jungle rankings are a result of community research, player stats, and professional player choices.
  • The best junglers can not only carry the game but strike fear in the enemy.
  • There are a ton of characters that are viable as junglers, attack damage fighters, tanks, and even some mages can jungle.

There are 50 characters categorised officially as junglers in League of Legends. There are plenty listed in other roles, such as Poppy and Brand, who can jungle effectively, too. The best League of Legends junglers are the ones who can rotate, gank, and get kills for their teams.

Most of the junglers are also considered assassins. They are quick and deal a ton of burst damage. Ganking is what makes a jungler thrive; a jungler who won’t gank is potentially useless to the team.

If you want to learn a few junglers, the League of Legends jungler champion tier list is a good springboard. Try out a few top-tier characters and see which one suits you most, and go from there.

League of Legends jungler tier list explained

Just like any other active game, League of Legends also receives balance and performance patches. Patch updates often change the meta, bringing some champions to the top and nerfing others. Live service MOBAs like Dota 2 and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang also follow the same formula of keeping things fresh.

This LoL Jungle tier list for 2026 aims to make your choices easier. Whether you want to pick the best of the best or stick with your main jungler, you’ll have a clear picture of whether you are at a disadvantage or not. For lanes other than jungle, you can check our League of Legends tier list

How our LoL jungle list got compiled

  • S-Tier: The cream of the crop, these are the best junglers in League of Legends in 2026. They have a high win rate and can carry matches.
  • A-Tier: The A-Tier junglers are also very good, but not at the top of the meta chain in the current patch.
  • B-Tier: These junglers can work, but only under certain conditions.
  • C-Tier: The C-Tier picks can get countered easily by the enemy or were recently nerfed.
  • D-Tier: Want to throw the game? Unless you are a god with these characters, avoid picking them in ranked matches.

The League of Legends jungle tier list is based on the latest patch. We also consulted community feedback, professional player choices, and data from platforms like U.GG, LoLaytics, and Blitz.

LoL jungle tier list in brief

With around 50 dedicated champions that can handle jungling in League of Legends, there is a lot of choice. If you are just starting, you could get choice paralysis. We’ve ranked each jungler from S-Tier to D-Tier according to how they perform in-game, making the choice a little easier.

Tier Champions
S Diana, Kha’Zix, Ekko, Shaco, Master Yi, Volibear, Lee Sin, Zed, Rengar, Gwen, Rek’Sai
A Evelynn, Rammus, Zac, Talon, Bel’Veth, Fiddlesticks, Ivern, Elise, Nocturne, Dr. Mundo, Nunu, Amumu, Kindred, Zyra, Karthus, Nidalee, Jarvan IV
B Wukong, Udyr, Jax, Zaahen, Gargas, Lillia, Skarner, Pantheon, Aatrox, Warwick, Sejuani, Trundle, Briar, Taliya, Naafiri,
C Shyvana, Xin Zhao, Hecarim, Graves, Sylas
D Vi, Qiyana, Kayn, Jayce, Malphite, Viego

S-Tier

S: Diana, Kha’Zix, Ekko, Shaco, Master Yi, Volibear, Lee Sin, Zed, Rengar, Gwen, Rek’Sai

These champions are the best at jungling, delivering fast jungle clears, good ganking abilities, and overall match impact. The best junglers in League of Legends are match winners and can go up against any enemy lineup. Diana has a high pick rate thanks to her fast clear speed and ability to complement her team well. Her passive scaling grants her attack speed boost after using an ability, making her ganks hard-hitting and mostly devastating for the enemy.

Pick Kha’zix when you simply hate one enemy character. Want to make short work of enemy Teemo? Kha’zix has unparalleled single-target burst damage. If anyone is wandering around in the jungle, they are a prime target for Kha’zix’s wrath. Shaco has been around for a long time, and he can be a terrifying enemy to face, especially if your support is allergic to wards. He can do hit-and-runs with surprising frequency.

A-Tier

A: Evelynn, Rammus, Zac, Talon, Bel’Veth, Fiddlesticks, Ivern, Elise, Nocturne, Dr. Mundo, Nunu, Amumu, Kindred, Zyra, Karthus, Nidalee, Jarvan IV

There is plenty of variety in this League of Legends jungler tier category. We get dedicated assassins like Talon and Evelynn, but also tanks and mages in here. If the enemy’s ward game is strong, Evelynn can walk past standard Stealth Wards undetected, making her invaluable early game. Talon and Nocturne are great assassins who can make most carries scatter in fear.

We also have Fiddlesticks, a mage that can fear enemies and has an AOE ultimate. Combine his ultimate with Flash, and you can gank multiple enemies at once. Fiddlesticks is ideal for ganking the bottom lane with ADC and support. Rammus ranks high this patch. Even as a tank main, he can do wonders if played right. His movement ability lets him rotate lanes fast, and his taunt can set up kills for your team.

B-Tier

B: Wukong, Udyr, Jax, Zaahen, Gargas, Lillia, Skarner, Pantheon, Aatrox, Warwick, Sejuani, Trundle, Briar, Taliya, Naafiri

The League of Legends jungler tier list’s B-Tier has a lot of different junglers. While these junglers can be amazing when played right, they are not at the top of the food chain anymore. Junlers like Wukong, Skarner, and Warwick were once amazing, but recent patches have made them a little less overpowered. Still, if any of these are your main junglers in LoL, you can carry the game.

We have reliable old picks in the B-Tier like Wukong, Udyr, and Jax. All of them can clear jungle creeps fast and can rotate accordingly. However, if you are into skill shots, then Gargas can set up epic plays for you. The tanky mage is sturdy with an ultimate that can push enemies away or towards your team. There are good fighters here, too, especially Pantheon with his long-range ultimate.

C-Tier

C: Shyvana, Xin Zhao, Hecarim, Graves, Sylas

With just five champions in this League of Legends jungler tier list, there aren’t a lot of C-Tier picks. We have Shyvana with her dragon powers here; she makes a better fighter than a jungler, though. Make her a semi-tank, and you can initiate fights reliably with her. Xin Zhao remains a good farmer, though; he has exceptional jungle and lane clearance. If your plan has backdooring, Xin is one of the best champions for that.

Graves is a ranged option and remains incredibly fast, healthy, and can safely clear jungle camps. His bonus armour from his E ability gives him good sustain without the need for potions. Sylas is an AP jungler with pretty solid burst damage and good ganking abilities. He can steal enemy ultimates, making him an amazing teamfight player.

D-Tier

D: Vi, Qiyana, Kayn, Jayce, Malphite, Viego

Despite Vi being the most reliable initiator, she has dropped in rankings over the years. She is still great at taking down healthy targets, but there are too many counters to her in the game. Jayce, another fan favourite, is also no longer viable. He has a good set of abilities, but you need to be exceptional at playing him to do well.

Malphite is a great tank, and his ultimate is still one of the best in the game. However, he can’t clear jungles fast enough to be a viable pick this season. If you still want to play him, you’ll need to have at least two AP items in your inventory. That, in turn, makes him less tanky, and there are far better options available to put yourself through the Malphite misery. Malphite ranks better in our League of Legends top champion tier list, though.

Conclusion

Jungling is all about timing. If you can clear jungle camps and reach any lane for a gank, then you are doing great. However, if a champion just cannot clear camps fast, you’ll be at a severe disadvantage and at risk for ganks yourself. The worst case would be you getting killed and the enemy jungler clearing your jungle. You don’t want that to happen. That’s why we recommend checking out the best junglers in League of Legends to at least have a reliable jungle clearance.

Of course, you can pick any champion to jungle too. After all, the game is about having fun (not in ranked, though). If you fancy a jungler that’s ranked lower, you can still do well, granted you know what you are doing. We recommend checking out the LoL support tier list if you like to be a dedicated support.
