Amine ‘Prime‘ Mekri has announced he has sold his stake in French esports organisation Karmine Corp after five years.

The rapper joined the organisation as a founding member and joint owner in November 2020, joining Kamel ‘Kameto‘ Kebir and Zouhair ‘Kotei‘ Darji.

Announced on February 9th, Prime reveals that he plans on moving to other projects, stating that ‘it’s the right time’ to exit the organisation. Over the past six years, he has assisted with the growth of Karmine Corp, which has cemented its place as one of Europe’s largest esports organisations.

“After five years of building Karmine Corp, I’ve made the decision to sell my shares and move on to something else,” said Prime on social media (translated from French).

“The project has grown tremendously. I’m proud of everything we’ve accomplished, but it’s the right time for me to turn the page. I wish the team and the community all the best for the future.”

According to an RFT.GG report, the buyer for Prime’s stake in the company is an investor that joined the organisation through a funding round in October 2023.

Karmine Corp In 2026

2026 has started in full gear for Karmine Corp as it competes in several high-profile esports leagues across Europe. Its Rocket League roster has dominated regional and international competitions with victories at the RLCS Kick-Off Weekend and the RLCS Boston Major Open 2.

Elsewhere, its League of Legends roster secured the top seed in LEC 2026 Versus, earning a place in the playoffs against GIANTX, taking place on February 17th.

Outside of its in-game successes, the organisation continues to attract a range of new partners to support its rosters. In January, Karmine Corp joined forces with peripherals brand Razer and streetwear brand Fulllife.
