UK developed horror game Phasmophobia set for movie adaptation

A movie adaptation of the horror video game Phasmophobia is officially in development.

British developer Kinetic Games has announced a partnership with Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster to produce a movie based on the online multiplayer ghost-hunting game.

Blumhouse Productions was also behind the movie adaptation of the popular horror video game Five Nights at Freddy’s. They are also behind other titles including M3GAN and The Black Phone.

Kinetic games director and Phasmophobia lead director, Daniel Knight, said: “We’re thrilled to officially announce that a Phasmophobia film adaptation is in development.
