TL;DR

  • Stranger Things is coming back to Fortnite with an all-new collaboration in 2025.
  • The collab will include a transformation of the Blitz Royale map.
  • The Blitz Royale map will be turned into the Upside Down version of the fictional town of Hawkins from Stranger Things.
  • New cosmetics and skins will also be coming to Fortnite, themed around Stranger Things characters.
  • The previous Fortnite skins – Eleven, Chief Hopper and The Demogorgon – could also make a reappearance in the in-game shop during the event.

With the upcoming release of the final season of Stranger Things, Epic Games and Netflix have announced a new collaboration coming to Fortnite. This follows the first collab that the show had with the game back in 2019, when season three of Stranger Things came out.

We’re going to dive into everything we know so far about the upcoming Fortnite Stranger Things collaboration. Keep in mind that the Stranger Things Fortnite event, map and items aren’t set to release until November 24. What is included in the crossover could change by the time the content comes out. This information comes from confirmed sources, but also from Fortnite leakers on X.

What is the Stranger Things x Fortnite collab, and when does it start?

Both Netflix and Epic Games confirmed that Fortnite will include new Stranger Things content to coincide with the release of Stranger Things season five. On the Netflix official website, the announcement came along with various other Stranger Things-related news. The statement reads:

“In celebration of its fifth and final season, Stranger Things is returning to Fortnite. On Nov. 24 players can look forward to new outfits and accessories, an Upside Down-inspired Blitz map, and new cosmetic items.”

The official Fortnite account on X also reported the collab with a quick glimpse of the transformed Blitz Royale map. The map has been turned into the fictional town of Hawkins from Stranger Things, but it is the paranormal Upside Down alternate dimension version of the town.

The map looks great, although it can only be seen for about 20 seconds in the short teaser. One of the prominent features is the giant Mind Flayer entity looming over the map. In the show, the Mind Flayer is a massive creature with a spider-like appearance, thanks to its numerous appendages. We only get a quick glimpse of the spidery monster in the teaser, but it looks pretty accurate. As mentioned on the Netflix website, the crossover will be released on November 24, 2025, which is two days before Stranger Things Season 5 premieres on Netflix.

What will be included in the Stranger Things x Fortnite collab?

The Netflix confirmation of the Fortnite collab mentioned “new outfits and accessories” along with the new Upside Down map for the Blitz Royale game mode and new cosmetics. There hasn’t been any confirmation as to what these items will be, but the appearance of popular Fortnite character Peely at the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere could suggest that Peely will be getting a Stranger Things-themed skin.

At the premiere, Peely was wearing a Hellfire Club leather and denim jacket inspired by the jackets worn by the Hellfire Club. In the show, the Hellfire Club is a Dungeons & Dragons-themed fan group headed by popular character Eddie Munson. A skin with Peely wearing this jacket – or something similar – seems likely, as a premiere appearance is a significant amount of publicity. This could also have been a hint at an Eddie Munson skin, which seems possible, with how beloved Munson’s character is. Another possibility is that the jacket itself could be a unique cosmetic item of some kind.

Of course, this could also have just been a fun reference to the upcoming collab, but it does seem like an awful lot of effort to put in for something that won’t be making an appearance in the game in some way.

There are already several Stranger Things cosmetics that were released in 2019, as mentioned. This includes three Stranger Things skins in Fortnite as well as various other items. It hasn’t been confirmed whether these items will return to the in-game shop with the collaboration, but there is a good chance they will. The existing Stranger Things items in Fortnite are as follows:

  • Eleven skin
  • Chief Hopper skin
  • Demogorgon skin
  • Telekinetic Power Breakfast emote
  • Eddie’s Spear pickaxe
  • Steve’s Bat pickaxe
  • Waffles Extravaganza back bling
  • Hopper’s Cabin Diorama back bling
  • Tendrils weapon wrap

Players could also get several of these items together in the Stranger Things bundle, so there is a chance this bundle will return with the new collab, too. The cosmetics in the bundle are:

  • Eleven skin
  • Waffles Extravaganza back bling
  • Hopper’s Cabin Diorama back bling
  • Telekinetic Power Breakfast emote
  • Eddie’s Spear pickaxe
  • Steve’s Bat pickaxe

Although there hasn’t been any confirmation as to what new skins and items will be appearing, there are certain characters that fans are hoping for. In X threads and Reddit, there are a few whose names have cropped up multiple times. Some of those characters who have a decent chance of getting skins with the upcoming Fortnite x Stranger Things collab include:

  • Eddie Munson
  • Dustin Henderson
  • Jonathan Byers
  • Lucas Sinclair
  • Max Mayfield
  • Mike Wheeler
  • Nancy Wheeler
  • Robin Buckley
  • Steve Harrington
  • Will Byers
  • Vecna

While it’s unlikely that we will see skins for all of these characters, we could get a good handful of them. The last crossover included three skins, but hopefully, there will be more this time around. Vecna seems the most likely, but Eddie, Dustin, Nancy and Steve are also top choices.

Conclusion

At the time of writing (November 11, 2025), there is no confirmation of any items or skins that will be coming to Fortnite with the Stranger Things crossover. The only confirmed information is that the Blitz Royale map will be given a Stranger Things makeover. This could also include Stranger Things items and weapons, along with skins, but for now, this is all just rumour and speculation. Hopefully, some of these rumours will become reality when the collab drops on November 24.
