North American esports organisation M80 has won the R6 Munich Major 2025 event after defeating Team Falcons in the Grand Final.
The victory is the organisation’s first international Rainbow Six Siege X esports trophy since it entered the scene in late 2022.
M80’s Road To Victory
M80 began its Swiss stage campaign convincingly, with victories over Six Invitational 2025 champions FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, and Team Secret to book its place in the playoffs at the earliest opportunity.
In the upper bracket semi-finals, FaZe Clan would avenge its earlier defeat, beating M80 2-0, and sending the North American side into the lower bracket. Joining M80 in the lower bracket was Team Secret in another Swiss stage rematch.
The second battle between M80 and Team Secret mirrored the Swiss stage, with M80 scoring a 2-1 victory to advance to the lower bracket semi-finals.
Wildcard managed to halt any momentum with a 7-2 win on Consulate to secure the early lead. M80’s impressive defensive strategy proved the difference, scoring a 7-3 win on Kafe Dostoyevsky and a 7-4 win on Skyscraper to complete the reverse sweep.
After losing its upper bracket final match, FaZe Clan would face off against M80 for a third time in the lower bracket final for a chance to play Team Falcons in the Grand Final. FaZe Clan opened with a 7-5 victory on Chalet before M80 fought back with a 7-4 win on Skyscraper and an 8-6 win on Clubhouse to wrap up a 2-1 win and the last Grand Final spot.
Knocking Down The Falcons
M80 kicked off the Grand Final with a narrow 8-7 victory on Nighthaven Labs before Team Falcons responded in game two with a 7-4 Skyscraper win of its own. All 15 rounds were required on Chalet, with M80’s offence proving the difference to take the series lead.
After grabbing the win in game three, M80 had the momentum on Consulate, with superior attack and defence securing a 7-5 win and a 3-1 series victory.
M80 becomes the third North American team to win a Major trophy, joining DarkZero Esports and Beastcoast, which scored Major victories in 2022 and 2024, respectively.
As a result of winning the Munich Major, M80 has secured qualification for the Six Invitational 2026 event taking place next February in Paris, France.
