Worlds 2025 finalist KT Rolster has parted ways with Jeong ‘Peter‘ Yoon-su and Seo ‘Deokdam‘ Dae-gil as the League of Legends off-season continues to heat up.

In addition to KT Rolster making changes, fellow South Korean esports organisation Gen.G has announced Kim ‘Canyon‘ Geon-bu has left following the expiration of his contract.

KT Rolster Bids Farewell To Peter And Deokdam

Despite finishing second at the 2025 World Championship, KT Rolster will revamp its roster for the 2026 season following the departures of Peter and Deokdam. For Deokdam, the change brings an end to a one-year stint representing the organisation.

Peter has represented KT Rolster since November 2024, when the Korean support player joined KT Challengers and was subsequently called up to the main roster in March 2025. In the past eight months, Peter cemented himself as one of the LCK’s top supports, finishing the 2025 LCK season in third place.

The departures of Peter and Deokdam leave KT Rolster looking to recruit two players as it prepares for next season, where it looks to contend for regional and international victories once again. Moreover, following the departure of T1’s Lee ‘Gumayusi‘ Min-hyeong, both world finalist ADCs will now be competing on different teams in 2026.

Gen.G Canyon Contract Expires

Elsewhere in Korea, Gen.G revealed that the contract of Canyon has come to an end, resulting in the jungler becoming a free agent.

Gen.G is no stranger to letting the contracts of its players run their course. In 2024, the organisation announced the expiration of existing player deals before re-signing them at a later date.

The organisation, however, hasn’t revealed whether Canyon is re-signing or a new player will join the organisation for next season.

Canyon’s contract expiration isn’t the only change to Gen.G’s League of Legends operations. Hours after Canyon’s announcement, it revealed that former 100 Thieves midlaner Yoo ‘Ryu’ Sang-wook has joined as the new Head Coach.

“We look forward to the fresh direction and energy he will bring to the team,” said the organisation on social media.
