The 2025 VALORANT Game Changers Championship is about to kick off at Seoul’s LoL Park, featuring ten teams and a $500,000 (~£380,000) prize pool.
From November 20th to 30th, Game Changers players from across the globe will be fighting for the most prestigious trophy in the scene. Some are well-known veterans chasing new records, while others are hungry to make a mark in their first championship run.
With the event right around the corner, Esports Insider discusses which players have the potential to write history at this year’s VALORANT Game Changers Championship (GCC).
Can Grahams Carry Xipto Esports?

Xipto Esports GC is a relatively new name in the Southeast Asian Game Changers scene. The Singaporean esports organisation began its GC journey last year, reaching fourth place at the 2024 Championship.
For this season, Xipto picked up the former Ascend GC lineup following the departure of its previous roster in January. This move earned the organisation a second-place finish in Split 2 and the GC Pacific title.
Leanne ‘Grahams’ Ti-in has been a crucial part of this success story. Previously sticking to the smokes role, the Filipino player has also shown promise on Yoru more recently. In particular, she delivered an outstanding 79/54/18 performance in the Pacific Grand Final versus Ninetails (3-1).
Grahams will have to consistently achieve such numbers in her newfound flex role if Xipto is to survive against the best international GC teams in Seoul.
Daiki Leads an Updated Team Liquid Brazil

Natália ‘daiki’ Vilela is a true GC veteran, starting out in 2021 and representing Team Liquid Brazil since 2022.
Throughout these years, her leadership has enabled Liquid to remain at the top of the Brazilian circuit. The team was also placed third and second at the GC Championships of 2022 and 2023, respectively.
While Liquid suffered from a disappointing 2024 season, the organisation returned to its former glory this year. The roster lost Paula ‘bstrdd’ Naguil to its Brazilian rival, MIBR, and, in turn, received a new duelist, Julia ‘Jelly’ Iris.
Liquid’s regional consistency highlights daiki’s ability to guide a variety of players through VALORANT’s ever-changing meta. However, to prove herself once and for all, she will have to out-call more accomplished in-game leaders (IGL) such as Shopify Rebellion’s Melanie ‘meL’ Capone.
And since most attending teams don’t lack firepower, daiki’s IGL experience could be the difference-maker in the stacked GCC bracket.
How Consistent is G2 Esports’ Akita?

As the inaugural Game Changers Champion, G2 Esports requires little introduction. Since 2021, the organisation has been a dominant force on GC’s regional and international stages.
This season, however, G2 experienced disappointing regional results for the very first time. A third-place finish in EMEA’s Stage 1 led to various role changes as well as the controversial benching of long-standing member Petra ‘Petra’ Stoker.
Her spot was filled by rookie player Esllene ‘Akita’ Xu, scouted from the French GC scene as an up-and-coming duelist prodigy. Although Akita’s arrival didn’t bring immediate success, the team later reunited with Petra to win Stage 3.
Throughout her time with G2, Akita has shown glimpses of her potential. For instance, she delivered 72 kills across only three maps in the Stage 3 Grand Final versus Twisted Minds. Moreover, she’s able to play a variety of duelist agents, a crucial skill in VALORANT’s new meta.
Akita has the mechanics and flexibility to become GC’s rookie of the year. Now, she just needs to prove that she’s consistent enough to out-frag her international duelist rivals.
Shopify Rebellion’s Dodonut Has Big Shoes to Fill

Like Akita, Karnthida ‘dodonut’ Chaisrakeo has a challenging task of representing one of the most-achieved GC teams as its newest member.
Whilst the former FlyQuest RED player is far from rookie status, she joined Shopify Rebellion new team to replace the arguably greatest duelist in GC and the highest-rated GC player, Ava ‘florescent’ Eugene, until her move to VCT EMEA.
Last year, florescent helped Shopify Rebellion become the first team to lift back-back GCC trophies. Her dominance in the circuit also earned her a spot on Apeks for the 2025 VCT season.
Meanwhile, Shopify Rebellion had to find someone who could step into her shoes and continue the organisation’s legacy. Dodonut appears to have been the right choice, as the team once again won all its regional tournaments.
In addition, Shopify became the first GC team to compete in the co-ed Challengers league earlier this year, providing the updated roster with additional competitive experience.
Still, it feels like GCC will be the final test for Shopify’s new duelist. Her teammates are aiming for the three-peat, and dodonut will be eager to make it happen while looking for the first Game Changers Championship trophy of her own.
