Fortnite Zero Hour live event: Start time, details, & what to expect

Fortnite has teased its latest event, Zero Hour, which will be the finale of Chapter 6. Throughout its sixth chapter, Fortnite has had a myriad of jaw-dropping collaborations, from K-Pop Demon Hunters, to Star Wars, Superman, and even the Simpsons, and it seems time to bring it all to bear for the grand finale.

Considering that Fortnite Zero Hour will be a limited time event, mark your calendars for Chapter 6’s grand finale and make sure you don’t miss it. Here’s everything you need to know about Zero Hour, including when it starts, details, and who you can expect to turn up.

Announced on X and YouTube by Epic Games on November 19, the Fortnite Zero Hour live event is scheduled to go live on Saturday, November 29 at 2pm ET. The event itself will open at 1:20pm ET, giving players an idea of when to load into Fortnite to join in.

It is advised to be in-game way ahead of when the doors open for the Zero Hour Fortnite event. As a chapter finale, the number of players drawn in will be massive and queues will be incredibly long, so being in the lobby, ready to join the queue early, is advised.

Despite only being 30 seconds long, the Zero Hour Fortnite event trailer packed so much in. Everything Fortnite has done in 2025 looks to be shown off in the trailer, showcasing an Avengers-esque battle with Godzilla, King Kong, a giant Homer, wielding a massive doughnut, Star Wars X-wings, and a Megazord all duking it out.

Jonesy and Hope seem to be back to lead the charge and carry on the returning storyline that many Fortnite fans have invested into. It seems that this Fortnite event will have the enemy everyone unites against be the Dark Presence, a powerful demonic being from the Spirit Realm, given that he served as Chapter 6’s antagonist thus far.

We also got a sneak peek at Chapter 7 as part of the Fortnite live event trailer. The Bride from Kill Bill made an appearance on a motorbike to help Jonesy on his way, and with the announcement of the Yuki’s Revenge Lost Chapter announcement on X, which takes place a day after on November 30, it seems Zero Hour will do its best to provide a smooth segue.

Like with other live events, it’s safe to assume that other modes will be disabled shortly before the Fortnite Zero Hour event time, and that it will be its own game mode. Moreover, as the grand finale to the chapter, Fortnite will likely throw everything it has added in Chapter 6 at the player, from Mortal Kombat, to Blade Runner, Halo, The Simpsons, and Power Rangers.

With the Bride’s inclusion, there is a chance players can get a hold of some Kill Bill related items and emotes. Perhaps her bright yellow motorbike will be a vehicle that players can take advantage of during the live event, as it was shown in the trailer. While this Fortnite live event puts Jonesy and Hope as the protagonists, the Bride will likely have a key role to play, especially to help herald in Chapter 7.

The wait for this Fortnite live event countdown to hit zero is going to feel like a long one. Zero Hour will be the biggest event of Chapter 6, and with the sheer volume of high profile collaborations in 2025, it could be the largest event Fortnite has ever seen.
