TL;DR

  • The last update for the Fortnite Simpsons crossover was released on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
  • The update follows on from the Sugar High animated short and sees a horde of Homer Simpson clones descending on Springfield.
  • There are a few new weapons in the update, all of which are Mythic.
  • Parts of the map have plenty of purple visuals due to the Zero Shards energy spreading through the power plant cooling towers.
  • The power plant now has a low gravity effect when players are in the area due to the Zero Shard’s effects.

All good things must come to an end, and the Fortnite Simpsons season – which has been getting great reviews from players and critics alike – is packing up and preparing for its conclusion. The Fortnite Simpsons final update has not long dropped at the time of writing, and it has some fun and entertaining new content for players to sink their teeth into before the Fortnite live event that ends the mini season and kicks off Chapter 7

We’re going to dive into everything you need to know about the new Fortnite Simpsons update, including gameplay elements, weapons, and Chapter 7 teasers.

The Fortnite x Simpsons collab has been a unique experience that combines animated Simpsons shorts with an in-game Fortnite event. The previous animated short, Sugar High, shows Homer attempting to get rid of the Zero Shard after he angers the townspeople of Springfield by using it so recklessly.

He enters the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant and dumps the shard into a vat of radioactive waste, causing a core flare-up and turning the waste into purple goo. In a failed attempt to eat a leftover candy bar, Homer falls into the vat. The purple waste explodes out of the power plant cooling towers and creates an army of zombie-like Homer clones, which descend on the town.

This is where the latest update kicks off, as there are several changes to the map and the gameplay that relate to this series of events from the Sugar High short.

In the game, the cooling towers at the power plant are still dispensing the Zero Shard substance into the air, which has created a low gravity field in the area. Players can jump higher and access previously inaccessible areas in the power plant POI because of this.

The Zero Shard goop has also spread around Springfield via the water, causing all the lakes, rivers and other bodies of water to become bright purple and full of Zero Shard essence. When in the water, players can continuously use the Zero Dash effect because of this.

The most notable change that came with the update is the addition of the Homer clones. These clones are spread across the map and will spawn in groups. They crowd around giant floating donuts – as these donuts are their spawners – and will attack the player when they are trying to destroy the giant donuts. The donuts drop some loot, so be sure to check what falls out when you have destroyed them.

The Homer clones are pretty harmless by themselves. They meander around making Homer-like noises and even doing little dances at times (referencing the infamous Land of Chocolate dream from the show). They are one-shot hits, too, so don’t expect to have a boss battle with them. However, when they group up and get angry, they can drain your health and shields surprisingly quickly when you are surrounded. What’s even more surprising is how fast they are and how far they are willing to chase you. Get some distance and take them out if you can, but be careful. If they are swarming, other players can use them to their advantage and attack you while you are dealing with the clones.

The Simpsons x Fortnite: Final update weapons and items

There are only a few weapons and items that have arrived with the final update, but they are quite fun to use. Check out the table below for a quick look at the new items.

Item name Item type Rarity  Item description
Dragon’s Belch Shotgun Shotgun Mythic Deals super high damage at a short range with a limited magazine size.
Embiggened Assault Rifle Assault Weapon  Mythic Flexible AR capable of handling all types of combat scenarios, which has increased Headshot damage.
Red-Eye Caramba AR Assault Weapon  Mythic Automatic. Slow-firing assault rifle with a custom red dot sight for improved accuracy, which has increased fire rate when scoped in.
Tamzarian Twin Mag SMG Submachine Gun Mythic  Fast-firing SMG that has a double-sided magazine for an extra fast reload, and better accuracy when jumping and running
Tomato (???) Consumable  Epic The outside sort of looks like a tomato, but the inside glows with purple mutant energy. Has a healing splash that also grants a low gravity jump.

There were also rumours that Homer’s Makeup Shotgun – an item he invented in one of the episodes of the show – would make an appearance with the final update. However, at the time of writing, we have been unable to find it in-game, and there has been no confirmation that it was included.

The Simpsons x Fortnite: Final update visual changes and Chapter 7 teasers

The visuals of the Simpsons map have been changed in certain areas with this update. As mentioned, there is Zero Shard material coming out of the cooling towers, engulfing the power plant POI, and flowing through the water across the town. This has given everything a bright pinkish-purple glow. The Homer clones also share the same glow, making them easy to spot from a distance.

Along with this, there are now countdowns and references to the upcoming, highly anticipated Fortnite Chapter 7. There is a countdown above the Jebediah Springfield statue in the middle of Springfield Town Square, and there is also a reference at the power plant. A floating sign can be found next to one of the cooling towers. The sign teases a “new story” that will begin on November 29. There isn’t an actual countdown for the Fortnite event time on this sign, but it does state that the Zero Hour final event will begin at 2pm EST on November 29.

Conclusion

That’s all there is to know about the Simpsons Fortnite final update. The crossover will continue until the Zero Hour final event begins, which looks set to be an epic start to Chapter 7 if the teaser trailer is anything to go by. The latest Simpsons animated short and the Zero Hour trailer teased a giant Homer in his underwear (which is also rumoured to become a skin), so there is still more to enjoy from the Fortnite Simpsons crossover before Chapter 7 begins.
