Team Liquid Brazil becomes the first team to secure its spot in the 2025 VALORANT Game Changers Championship Grand Final.
The South American organisation qualified for the Grand Final after defeating Shopify Rebellion Gold in a razor-close BO3 series 2-1.
This will be Team Liquid Brazil’s second appearance in a VALORANT Game Changers Championship Grand Final, following a 2023 run where it fell short against Shopify to finish second. Given Team Liquid’s current form, this could be a golden opportunity for the team to lift its first-ever global trophy.
That said, Shopify Rebellion Gold will have one more chance as it will go up against the winner of KRÜ BLAZE vs MIBR GC for the remaining Grand Final spot.
Team Liquid Brazil Stays Unbeatable at 2025 VALORANT Game Changers Championship
The Upper Final between the North American and South American titans was nothing short of a spectacle, with the very first map, Haven, heading into overtime.
Team Liquid Brazil swiftly won the first two rounds to kick off the match on a positive note and then extended the lead to four rounds as the scoreline hit 6-2. Shopify Rebellion Gold responded by securing a couple more rounds to finish the first half at 8-4, keeping the map within reach.
That is exactly what happened once the sides switched, as Shopify secured four straight rounds to level the score at 8-8. Though Team Liquid was struggling to figure out Shopify Rebellion Gold’s attack, Vitoria ‘bizerra‘ Vieira and Letícia ‘joojina‘ Paiva’s duo pushed back to reach match point with a comfortable lead of three rounds.
Even after so many twists, the map wasn’t over yet as Shopify refused to fold. As a result, the fans witnessed the first overtime of the BO3 series. Team Liquid was able to close out confidently by winning both OT rounds to secure the map 14-12, along with a 1-0 series lead.
Despite being one Team Liquid Brazil’s best, Shopify Rebellion Gold shockingly picked Pearl as its pick, but the roster came prepared. Melanie ‘meL‘ Capone’s squad opened with a dominant six-round lead as Team Liquid failed to secure even a single round.
Just when the decider map felt inevitable, Natália ‘daiki‘ Vilela proved exactly why she is considered one of the best IGLs in the Game Changers scene. Her mastery in adjusting to an opponent’s strategy and firepower helped Team Liquid rally back to a 6-6 half.

However, this momentum was broken by Shopify once the sides flipped, as Team Liquid only won one round before reaching match point. Team Liquid once again fought back to narrow the gap to 10-12, but could not drag the map to overtime as Shopify sealed the victory by 13-10 to force the decider.
The final map, Abyss, was one of Shopify’s weakest maps in terms of win percentage, and it was evident right from the beginning. Not only did Shopify Rebellion Gold fail to contest Team Liquid’s attack, but also dropped multiple rounds despite having the numbers advantage.
Daiki’s calling, paired with Team Liquid’s coordination, saw the roster secure a commanding 7-2 lead. While Shopify Rebellion Gold showcased a spirited response to win the next five rounds, it wasn’t enough to derail the Brazilian side’s momentum.
In the end, Team Liquid Brazil won the rest of the rounds to register a 13-7 victory on the decider map, pushing Shopify Rebellion Gold to the Lower Bracket and locking its place in the Grand Final.
daiki once again stood out as the MVP of the series, finishing with an impressive 54/46/20 KDA in the Upper Final. However, Julia ‘jelly‘ Iris also contributed with a powerful 52/55/10 KDA performance.
Team Liquid Brazil will return to the stage on November 30th in the Grand Final, and the BO5 match will be streamed live on VALORANT Champions Tour’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.
