Aurora Gaming, Fnatic, and TYLOO have become the latest teams to be eliminated from the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 as the battle for Stage 3 spots enters its final rounds.
The trio of teams bow out of the season-ending tournament after failing to win three matches across the five rounds.
Aurora Gaming Heads Home
Despite heading into Stage 2 as the highest placed team in the November Valve Regional Standings (VRS), Aurora Gaming was unable to make it past the Major’s second stage. The Turkish team began its campaign with a 13-6 win over M80 before encountering a FaZe Clan side fresh from beating Passion UA.
A 13-10 defeat for Aurora Gaming put the team on the back foot heading into the next round against Parivision, with the ESL Challenger League winners scoring a hard-fought 13-11 win to put Aurora Gaming on the verge of elimination.
Aurora Gaming faced off against Astralis in round four and grabbed an early lead with a 13-11 win on Nuke. The Danish side answered back on the following two maps, taking Train 13-8 and Mirage 13-11 to send Aurora Gaming packing.
Fnatic Knocked Out

Similar to Aurora Gaming, Fnatic began Stage 2 on the front foot with a victory over 3DMAX in the opening best-of-one.
However, the momentum of the Fragadelphia Blocktober winners quickly ran out, with defeats to B8 and Imperial Esports resulting in the team needing a win against Passion UA to stay alive.
Despite a strong attacking display in the second half of Overpass, Fnatic was left unable to overturn the deficit, losing 13-11 to put them a step closer to elimination. Passion UA opened Inferno with a dominant 11-1 lead in the first half, and despite an attempt to complete a comeback, Fnatic’s opponent closed out the map 13-7 to secure a 2-0 sweep and send Fnatic home.
TYLOO Sent Packing
After scoring a comfortable win over Parivision in the first round, TYLOO positioned itself to make a run into Stage 3 with relative ease.
Ninjas in Pyjamas halted any progress in round two before M80 bested the Chinese side in round three, handing the FISSURE Playground 1 champions two consecutive losses.
TYLOO would face off against Team Liquid in round four, another team battling to keep its Major hopes alive. The team began with a 13-9 win on Ancient before Team Liquid immediately answered back on Train, taking a comfortable 13-5 win of its own to level the series and force an Inferno decider.
TYLOO opened the first half with an 8-4 lead at half-time, but Team Liquid responded with eight defensive rounds of its own to level the series and force overtime. The experience of Jonathan ‘EliGE‘ Jablonowski shone through, guiding Team Liquid to a 16-14 win and a 2-1 series victory to send the Chinese side out of the Major.
Parivision And Imperial Esports Secure Stage 3 Qualification

Outside of the elimination matches, six teams with a 2-1 record battled for Stage 3 qualification in round four.
Parivision outlasted Ninjas in Pyjamas in overtime on Dust II and Train to secure a 2-0 sweep and a place in the next stage, while Imperial Esports continued spearheading the charge for the Americas with a 2-1 victory over M80 to join fellow Brazilian organisation FURIA in Stage 3.
B8 completed a reverse sweep over 3DMAX in the final qualification match of day seven. The French side dominated Train with a 13-3 scoreline before B8 bounced back on Ancient, winning 13-9 to force a Dust II decider.
A dominant defensive display in the first half proved the difference for the Ukrainians, taking Dust II 13-8, continuing its strong run of form from Stage 1.
What’s Next?
The six remaining Stage 2 teams with a 2-2 record will compete in round five, where a best-of-three series will determine three teams that advance to Stage 3, and the three that are eliminated.
