Fnatic has announced that it is parting ways with its Rainbow Six Siege X roster following a review into its Year 10 performance.
Alongside releasing its players, the UK organisation mentioned that it will also ‘take some time’ to reset its roster as Fnatic explores its ‘next steps in the title’.
As a result of the announcement, Fnatic players Samuel ‘Wizard‘ Morgan, Leonardo ‘Sarks‘ Sarchi, Jesse ‘Jeggz‘ Ojanen, Tom ‘Deapek‘ Pieksma, and Anotnio ‘CroqSon‘ Vázquez will no longer represent the organisation.
Several of the players have since shared that they are looking for new teams to sign with. The team’s head coach, Tristan ‘Saethus‘ Savage, added that his priority was seeing that the players ‘have a secure future’ in the title.
This is a significant turn of events for an organisation that has competed in Rainbow Six Siege X esports since 2018. The organisation last disbanded its roster in 2023 before acquiring a new line-up of players a year later in March 2024.
Fnatic’s R6 Run in 2025
Despite being a partnered team through the R6 Share programme, the London-based organisation has recorded fairly underwhelming results in Year 10 of Rainbow Six Siege X esports.
The squad struggled in the Europe MENA League, becoming the first team to be eliminated in Stage 1 and placed in the bottom four teams of Stage 2. As a result, Fnatic was unable to qualify for the Esports World Cup Rainbow Six Siege X tournament and the BLAST R6 Munich Major.
As a partnered team, it was invited to compete in the RE:L0:AD tournament in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, becoming one of the first organisations to play the Siege X update in a competitive setting.
Ultimately, the team failed to make the Six Invitational taking place in Paris, France, placing eighth and fifth, respectively, in both MENA Qualifiers. Additionally, Fnatic will not compete in the regional Last Chance Qualifiers, dashing any hopes of reaching the world championship event.
