American esports organisation M80 has announced that it has signed FGC icon, Jo’siah ‘Hikari‘ Miller, as a 2XKO player.

Best known as one of the greatest Dragon Ball Fighter Z players of all time, he brings his experience as a two-time Evo and World Tour champion to Riot Games’ fighting title.

Hikari has been officially competing in 2XKO throughout 2025, beginning with the TNS Alpha Lab 2 tournament back in April.

Since then, he has competed across multiple competitions, placing third in the 2XKO event during DreamHack Atlanta 2025 and the FlyQuest 2XKO Christmas Clash. He has also won on multiple occasions, recently winning IB Games First Impact 2.

Many of the community competitions he participated in were also supported by Riot Games’ First Impact initiative, contributing to the FGC player earning nearly $10,000 (~£7,430) in winnings so far in his 2XKO journey.

Many FGC fans will know him for his performance in the Dragon Ball Fighter Z esports scene. He has won championship titles at both Evo 2023 and Evo France 2025, in addition to winning the 2024 and 2025 World Tour Finals, the ecosystem’s crowning event.

This is a significant step for M80, an organisation primarily known for its performance in other esports titles such as Counter-Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege X and Rocket League. Hikari’s signing marks M80’s return to the FGC scene.

M80 has signed FGC players in the past, such as Samuel ‘EndingWalker’ Arm, who participated in various Street Fighter events such as the Topanga World Championship while representing the brand back in 2023.

2XKO in 2026

2XKO has made huge strides in 2025, from entering early access to holding its first official tournament at EVO France 2025.

Heading into 2026, players can look forward to the arrival of Caitlyn, a popular League of Legends champion, to 2XKO’s roster on January 2026. Furthermore, leaks have suggested that the game will also be released on January 20th across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Esports-wise, one of the first events taking place in 2026 will be during the FGC festival Frosty Faustings XVIII, with the 2XKO mixed mode tournament scheduled to run on January 30th, 2026. Elsewhere, Riot Games’ tag-team fighting game has also been confirmed as a featured tournament for both Evo 2026 and Evo Japan.
