Might & Magic Fates is set to make its global debut on February 4th, 2026, marking the return of the long-running fantasy game series in a new competitive format.

The official announcement came on January 28th through the project’s X account, where players are already being encouraged to pre-register ahead of launch. Notably, the game blends classic Might & Magic heroes with a modern strategy card system, making it accessible for longtime fans and new players.

Currently, pre-registration is live, with early sign-ups expected to unlock launch rewards. The studio believes early participation will help build a strong competitive community before the game officially goes live.

What is Might and Magic Fates?

Might & Magic Fates is a free-to-play strategy card game that blends the series’ classic heroes and lore with competitive online gameplay and optional blockchain-based features.

Built as a comprehensive digital card experience, the game enables players to assemble custom decks, lead iconic heroes, and engage in tactical battles against rivals.

According to the team, players will be able to earn, trade, and own certain in-game assets on-chain, while the main gameplay remains fully accessible to those who prefer a traditional, non-blockchain experience.

Ubisoft, the publisher behind the series, is teaming up with Immutable, a blockchain infrastructure company that powers digital asset ownership and Web3 games. The latter will add blockchain features that aim to support transparency and long-term value, while keeping the focus on strategy-driven gameplay.

Launch Rewards and Faction Key Details

The worldwide launch announcement was followed by a separate update on January 29th, detailing how Founder Pack rewards would be handled at release.

The team stated that players holding a Faction Key at launch would automatically receive 90 FATES tokens per key, which can be used to claim 90 card packs.

The game also added that players who prefer not to receive the tokens at launch can transfer their keys to another Immutable wallet that has not been used to access Might and Magic Fates. Additionally, it was stated that Faction Keys will remain relevant beyond launch, as they are also tied to future in-game rewards.
