Peter ‘dupreeh’ Rasmussen took to the stage of the BLAST.tv Austin Major prior to the Grand Final to announce his retirement from playing professional Counter-Strike. In a tearful message, dupreeh celebrated the growth of the esport before bowing out of competition.

dupreeh’s full speech was as follows:

“Obviously, all good things come to an end, and it’s time to say goodbye. When I first got to play Counter-Strike I never imagined that we could gather so many people, and so many people would follow this esport.

Caedrel and Tyler1 among full list of LoL MSI 2025 co-streamers

The official group of League of Legends co-streamers has been revealed for the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).

The international tournament kicks off on Friday, June 27th at 8pm BST when G2 Esports take on Brazil’s FURIA.

With the help of co-streamers, last year’s MSI peaked at over 2.8 million viewers, which was more than a 500k increase on the previous year.

Now, Riot Games has unveiled this year’s extensive co-streamer list with 86 content creators announced, though more may be added at a later date.

The legendary Team Vitality win streak has extended with a victory over TheMongolZ at the BLAST Austin Major. The European powerhouses have now won eight consecutive trophies, with no end to their reign of terror in sight.

Despite an early lead, TheMongolZ were unable to upend Team Vitality’s momentum on Maps 2 and 3, ending the final 2-1.

The World Final will be held at the famed Hammerstein Ballroom in New York from November 13th to 16th.

UK League of Legends (LoL) tournament 4 Nations 2025 Spring will see Venomcrest Serpents face Int Quick in the Grand Final.

The match will be a rematch of the upper bracket final and take place live at the University of Staffordshire’s broadcast studio in Stoke-on-Trent.

The Grand Final of the 4 Nations 2025 Spring will start on Saturday, June 21st at 2pm, live in-person and on the official Twitch channel.

LEC €200k Boukada transfer to Team BDS all but confirmed by SK Gaming GM

A lot of roster moves are seemingly coming to the LEC before the Summer Split begins.

According to reports by Sheep Esports, Team BDS are paying a buyout of around €200k (£171k) for SK Gaming jungler Mehdi ‘Boukada’ Lahlou.

This follows reports that Turkish jungler Doğukan ‘113’ Balcı has chosen to step down and compete in Turkey’s TCL with Papara SuperMassive.

NLC caster drian ‘Jamada’ Wharlton-Thorne praised the decision as a “good move for both parties.”

Counter-Strike 2 superstar Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyljev says lifestyle changes have helped revive his esports career.

The Ukrainian is considered by many to be the greatest Counter-Strike player ever.

S1mple took a break from competitive play for over a year, saying he wanted “to fix documents and take care of other people in my life.”

Now, he is back to competing at the top of CS2 while on loan with FaZe Clan at the Blast Austin Major 2025.
