Team Liquid falls to Paper Rex at Masters Toronto after losing two maps in overtime

Team Liquid has been eliminated from the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Masters Toronto after losing to Pacific’s Paper Rex.

British player Georgio ‘keiko’ Sanassy was the star of the team, giving Team Liquid a chance to proceed in the tournament.

In an intense series that saw each player give their all, it was Paper Rex that came out on top to defeat Team Liquid 2-1.

League of Legends can have custom English voice lines again as SAG-AFTRA ends year-long strike

US actors’ union SAG-AFTRA has called an end to strikes after almost a year, which affected video game voice acting for multiple titles, including League of Legends.

The news comes a few days after SAG-AFTRA reached a tentative agreement with various video game companies, including Electronic Arts, Epic Games, and Activision.

The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists represents around 160,000 members, including actors, voice actors, and other entertainment and media professionals.

Siuhy signed to Team Liquid after successful loan from MOUZ

Following a two-month loan from MOUZ, Siuhy signed the paperwork to join Team Liquid’s official Counter-Strike roster. 

The Polish player Kamin ‘Siuhy’ Szkaradek has taken on the position of in-game leader (IGL) in the team. His official signing has been confirmed just before Team Liquid enters Stage Three of the BLAST Austin Major.

From benched in Europe to North American IGL – Siuhy’s journey to Liquid

As of January 22nd this year, Siuhy announced that MOUZ had benched him due to “clashing visions.” This removed him from active roster participation after over 17 months competing for MOUZ in the European region.

StarLadder MRQ tournaments axed, Budapest Counter-Strike Major now invite-only

In a controversial move, all StarLadder MRQ tournaments have been cancelled. 

MRQs – Major Regional Qualifiers – enable lower-ranked teams to qualify for Major tournaments, offering an opportunity to enhance their roster’s experience and support. 

Why were the StarLadder MRQ tournaments cancelled?

Counter-Strike has a packed competitive calendar, with tournaments run by several separate organisers and broadcast companies. As a result, some competitions overlap with one another. 

The Starladder MRQ dates were released on June 6th.
