Riot Games has sparked excitement among Valorant fans with a teaser for a potential new map in an all-new trailer.

Valorant released the video on X to celebrate its five-year anniversary for Season 2025 Act 3.

The video featured an overview of various events, iconic moments, players, new season updates, and the battle pass. During two moments in the trailer, fans spotted footage of an unknown location that could belong to the twelfth map to be released during Act 3.

The Celestial Guardians update for Pokémon TCG Pocket has completely revolutionised the game’s meta but there’s one small card that has had a surprisingly big impact.

Most players were excited to finally see the introduction of Rare Candy to the digital version of the card game as the item allows basic Pokémon to skip the middle evolution and instead transform into its final Stage 2 form. For example, Charmander can evolve into Charizard EX as early as a player’s second turn without the need for Charmeleon.

Loughborough College wins Student Racing League LAN Finals

The Student Racing League finals were held on Wednesday afternoon, with Loughborough student Joseph crowned champion following a tough season of competition. 

Loughborough College Student takes home Racing League title 

This year’s edition of the Student Racing League was the third instalment of the competition after Williams esports introduced the tournament to our screens in 2023.

Students in the Racing League competed throughout the season for a spot in one of the three qualifying tiers before the top 30 education centres met at the in-person LAN Finals.

The University of Warwick has once again been crowned Esports University of the Year by the National Student Esports (NSE) body.

Warwick has now topped the standings for an incredible seven years running, securing the title for the 2024/25 academic year with outstanding performances across various titles in both the Winter and Spring seasons.

The University of Warwick finished with 3,372 points, 297 fewer than the 3,669 points they earned for their sixth consecutive win last year.

The popular UK-registered team Los Ratones have lost a series for the first time ever in the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) after suffering a humbling 2-0 loss to NORD Esports.

Los Ratones have dominated the regional league (ERL) for the UK and Nordic countries this year. Out of their 23 games played in the NLC, they have only dropped a single one which was 75 days ago against NORD in the Winter Playoffs and Los Ratones still won that series 3-1.

FlyQuest, a prominent esports organisation, has announced the departure of British Marvel Rivals player Ghasklin from its competitive roster.

The news, shared via an official press release, marks the end of Ghasklin’s tenure with the team which began in March.

In a post on X, FlyQuest said: “Today we are announcing the departure of Ghasklin. Thank you for being a part of our first Invitational run and first steps in Marvel Rivals.”

Responding to the announcement, Ghasklin said: “I will be taking a short break to decompress and de-stress I have A LOT going on in my life right now and will be taking a very short break.”

Ghasklin, who as per their Twitch account resides in Wales, has received support and well wishes on social media in response to the announcement.
