Brazilian football legends Kaká and Ronaldo to compete at Esports World Cup
Two of Brazil’s greatest ever footballers are coming to the Esports World Cup in Kaká and Ronaldo Nazário.
The two former Ballon d’Or winners are swapping football boots for controllers as they’ll compete against each other in a celebrity showmatch.
This comes as part of a football-filled weekend in Riyadh, which will include the EA FC 25 FC Pro World Championships.

Gentle Mates have been relegated from VCT following their 1-2 defeat to GIANTX in VCT 2025 EMEA: Stage 2. The French organisation are cast down to challengers as they had to make playoffs of Stage 2 to qualify for the Ascension tournament, which could have saved their place.
In Valorant, Ascension-qualified VCT teams must either qualify for Champions to retain their VCT spot or make playoffs of an EMEA stage in order to qualify for Ascension and have a shot at defending their spot.

Pokémon TCG Pocket replaces stolen art but ruins Lugia EX in the process
Pokémon TCG Pocket has finally added actual art to the three-star, immersive variants of Lugia EX and Ho-Oh EX.
The two rare cards from the Wisdom of Sea and Sky expansion had previously used awkward placeholders.
This is because Pokémon Pocket was forced to remove stolen art from immersive Ho-Oh and Lugia.
The Ho-Oh, which appeared in both cards, was traced over fan art which was wrongfully given to the artist.

Apeks officially relegated from VCT EMEA after zero wins in 2025
Apeks have been officially relegated from the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA league after a difficult season.
After losing 2-1 to KOI, they have failed to qualify for the Playoffs and have not met Riot Games’ performance requirements to maintain their place.
They won’t have a chance to defend their VCT spot at Ascension 2025 and will not compete in Valorant’s top tier in 2026.
An absolute nightmare.

EA FC esports star Vejrgang signs for Team Falcons but after Esports World Cup
One of the world’s best EA FC 25 players, Anders ‘Vejrgang’ Vejrgang, has officially joined Team Falcons from RBLZ Gaming.
However, the transfer won’t happen until after the biggest tournament of the year, the FC Pro World Championship at the Esports World Cup, has concluded.
Vejrgang is the reigning EA FC World Champion and is currently ranked number one in the FC Pro rankings.
