The 2026 LCK season will once again feature a variety of new rosters, alongside some familiar-looking teams.

Despite the fact that T1 once again secured the League of Legends World Championship in 2025, the surprise exit of Lee ‘Gumayusi‘ Min-hyeong has opened the door for Kim ‘Peyz‘ Su-hwan to rejoin the LCK. Moreover, KT Rolster has departed with its Worlds 2025 finalist bot laner, Gen.G will run it back, and Korean LPL players will be making their way to the LCK.

For those wanting to keep track of player movements, Esports Insider’s article details the confirmed line-ups for the start of the LCK 2026 season.

Editor’s note: This article will be regularly updated when further roster moves have been confirmed.

OKSavingsBank BRION

After finishing the LCK 2025 season in 8th place and once again failing to qualify for an international event, BRION is completely overhauling its roster.

Notably, the organisation confirmed the singing of former FlyQuest and DRX Head Coach Kim ‘SSONG’ Sang-soo up until 2027. Moreover, bot laner Park ‘Teddy’ Jin-seong also joinsnBRION alongside SSONG from DRX. Joining Teddy are three players that fans of LCK Challengers, Korea’s tier-two scene, may be familiar with — Shin ‘Casting’ Min-jae (KT Challengers), Lee ‘Fisher’ Jeong-tae (NS Challengers), Namgung ‘Namgung’ Seong-hoon (Gen.G Global Academy).

Rounding out the line-up is former Nongshim RedForce jungler Kim ‘GIDEON’ Min-seong.

Former world champions Dplus had a season to forget in 2025, missing out on League of Legends’ biggest event for the first time since it entered the LCK in 2019. Looking into 2026, the organisation will be changing its bot lane duo, with Kim ‘Aiming’ Ha-ram and Cho ‘BeryL’ Geon-hee leaving the team. Replacing the bot lane is T1 Academy prodigy Sin ‘Smash’ Guem-jae and FEARX Youth player Oh ‘Career’ Hyung-suk

The rest of its roster — Jeon ‘Siwoo’ Si-woo, Choi ‘Lucid’ Yong-hyeok and Heo ‘ShowMaker’ Su — are contracted at least until the 2026 season. As such, it is likely that the players will compete in 2026. However, this doesn’t rule out further changes. Another major move is the promotion of Kim ‘cvMax’ Dae-ho to the Head Coach role.

DRX

Following the departures of Teddy, SSONG, Bae ‘Sponge’ Young-jun, and Kang ‘Kyeahoo’ Yea-hoo, DRX is rebuilding with a fresh roster for 2026.

During the LCK 2025 off-season, DRX announced that support Mun ‘Andil’ Gwan-bin has renewed his contract until 2026. Joining the player is Jung ‘Jiwoo’ Ji-woo, a 21-year-old bot laner who has played for Nonshim RedForce since his debut.

The Worlds 2022 champions have also announced the signings of two junglers Ha ‘Vincenzo’ Seung-min and Kim ‘Willer’ Jeong-hyeon, from T1 Academy and FEARX Youth, respectively. It is currently unknown at this moment if both players will be utilised for 2026.

According to Riot Games’ Global Contract database, Lee ‘Rich’ Jae-won is still contracted until 2026. Meanwhile, it is unconfirmed whether Son ‘ucal’ Woo-hyeon will be DRX’s starting mid laner following his demotion to the its Challenger team mid-way through the 2025 season. Former FEARX Coach Cho ‘Joker’ Jae-eup has also joined the organisation as its new Head Coach.

FEARX

FEARX is one of the few teams across League of Legends’ esports ecosystem that is retaining the same roster from the 2025 season. The organisation finished 6th in the LCK 2025 season, but did manage to win the 2025 Asia Invitational

Jungler Jeon ‘Raptor’ Eo-jin has signed a new deal with the team until 2026. Meanwhile, Song ‘Clear’ Hyeon-min, Lee ‘VicLa’ Dae-kwang, Nam ‘Diable’ Dae-geun and Kim ‘Kellin’ Hyeong-gyu are signed until 2026. At the time of writing, the only doubt is surrounding its other mid laner, Yoo ‘Daystar’ Ji-myeong, with no word on a renewed contract as of now. One major change has occurred within the coaching staff, with FEARX Youth’s Park ‘Edo’ Jun-seok replacing Yoo ‘Ryu’ Sang-wook as Head Coach.

After finishing the LCK 2025 season in last place, DN Freecs has welcomed Worlds 2025 finalists Seo ‘deokdam’ Dae-gil and Jeong ‘Peter’ Yoon-su from KT Rolster. Joining the fresh-looking team is former BRION mid laner Lee ‘Clozer’ Ju-hyeon. Rounding out the roster are two familiar DN Freecs names, Hong ‘Pyosik’ Chang-hyeon and Lee ‘DuDu’ Dong-ju.

Given the arrival of Peter, the future of support Kim ‘Life’ Jeong-min is unceratin; however, the player is still contracted until 2026.

Another organisation that is running it back for 2026 is Gen.G Esports. Whilst the team failed to win League of Legends’ biggest event, Gen.G had a remarkable 2025 campaign, winning the LCK 2025 season as well as the Esports World Cup and MSI.

After announcing that Kim ‘Canyon’ Geon-bu’s contract had expired, the organisation swiftly re-signed the jungler, as well as tying down support Joo ‘Duro’ Min-kyu until 2027. Despite its roster staying the same, there is a change on the coaching front with former FEARX Head Coach Yoo ‘Ryu’ Sang-wook now heading the current LCK champions.

Hanwha Life Esports

Following the retirement of Korean superstar Han ‘Peanut’ Wang-ho, Hanwha Life Esports has enlisted 2023 MSI champion Seo ‘Kanavi’ Jin-hyeok. Despite being Korean, the Jungler will make his LCK debut in 2026 with the player’s competitive career being at JD Gaming and Top Esports in China’s LPL.

Undoubtedly, though, Hanwha Life Esports’ biggest acquisition is the signing of Worlds 2025 MVP Lee ‘Gumayusi’ Min-hyung from the world champions T1. Joining these two players is the familiar trio of Choi ‘Zeus’ Woo-je, Kim ‘Zeka’ Geon-woo and Yu ‘Delight’ Hwan-jung. The organisation is undoubtedly looking to do one better than its 2nd place finish during the LCK 2025 season.

Following a silver medal at the 2025 League of Legends Worlds Championship, KT Rolster has had to refresh its bot lane for 2026. Replacing the departing Seo ‘deokdam’ Dae-gil and Jeong ‘Peter’ Yoon-su are Dplus’ Kim ‘Aiming’ Ha-ram, as well as two new supports.

For next year, LCK veteran Jang ‘Ghost’ Yong-jun will shift from ADC to support, with BRION’s Oh ‘Pollu’ Dong-gyu also joining the roster.

Nongshim RedForce

After finishing 7th in the LCK 2025 season, Nongshim Redforce has signed three players in a bid to climb up the table. Replacing Jung ‘Jiwoo’ Ji-woo, who has joined DRX, is Kim ‘Taeyoon’ Tae-yoon, making his return to the LCK after a year with LPL side Team WE. Coming from DRX is Bae ‘Sponge’ Young-jun, meanwhile, the organisation has signed veteran mid laner Lee ‘Scout’ Ye-chan, previously at JD Gaming.

Scout’s inclusion at Nongshim Redforce means the future of Seon ‘Calix’ Hyeon-bin is unsure, with the player recently competing for the organisation at the 2025 Asia Invitational. Finally, Choi ‘DanDy’ In-kyu has joined Nongshim RedForce from Hanwha Life Esports as its Head Coach. Previous Head Coach Park ‘Chelly’ Seung-jin has moved to the Coach position.

T1

Last but not least, the 2025 League of Legends World Champions T1 are, perhaps surprisingly, going into the 2026 LCK season with a slightly different roster.

Following the unexpected departure of Lee ‘Gumayusi’ Min-hyung, T1 has signed 19-year-old Kim ‘Peyz’ Su-hwan from JD Gaming to fill the Worlds MWP’s role. Despite his young age, Peyz already has an impressive list of accolades, which includes winning three LCK splits and the 2024 MSI trophy with Gen.G.

Despite his contract previously lasting until the end of the season, top laner Choi ‘Doran’ Hyeon-jun has re-signed with T1 for 2026. Meanwhile, the team’s star player, Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok is contracted until 2029.

When Does the LCK 2026 Season Start?

The LCK 2026 season will officially begin in January with the LCK Cup. The cup will see all 10 teams fight for qualification to League of Legends’ first international event of the year, First Stand in Brazil.

Following that, the LCK 2026 season commences for the rest of the year with qualification for the 2026 MSI and World Championship on the line. However, prior to all of that, LCK teams will also be in action in December for the KeSPA Cup 2025.

This year, for the first time ever, the off-season Korean League of Legends tournament, organised by Korea’s esports governing body (KeSPA), will feature two LCS teams — Team Liquid and Cloud9.
