Esports tournament organiser StarLadder has issued an apology following several technical issues during the opening day of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.
The first Stage 1 matches suffered lengthy delays, causing matches to finish in the early hours of November 25th, 2025, in the UK.
Prior to the competition’s second day, the tournament organiser has apologised for the issues impacting streams, audio and stability. It also revealed that it is working to address the issues to ensure a smooth viewing experience for fans watching online.
Fans encountered echoed in-game audio in addition to the lack of commentators guiding viewers through the action.
“We know we fell short today, and it impacted your experience,” said StarLadder on social media. “Sorry for letting you down – we’re making things right and improving for the next days.”
The second day of the Budapest Major begins at 2 PM GMT (3 PM CEST) with the third round of Stage 1. Teams competing aim to secure qualification for the next stage, while others are hoping to avoid an early elimination after losing their first two matches.

Following an opening day where the Stage 1 favourites floundered on the big stage, four underdogs will battle it out in the first chance to qualify for Stage 2. FlyQuest takes on Fluxo while M80 plays NRG in a clash between two North American sides.
Elsewhere, FaZe Clan plays Ninjas in Pyjamas for a chance to add a second win to their tally. Fnatic and Legacy also feature in the 1-1 category after scoring a win and a defeat on day one.
GamerLegion is already at risk of elimination, alongside the Chinese sides of Lynn Vision Gaming and Rare Atom. Mongolia’s The Huns Esports is also at risk of heading home, meaning there’s a chance of two Asian teams already failing to advance to Stage 2.
