Esports tournament organiser BLAST has unveiled that its BLAST Rivals Season 2 event will take place in Hong Kong from November 8th to November 15th.

After hosting BLAST Rivals Fall earlier in November, the CS2 competition will once again return to the country. The event will feature a total of eight teams competing for a combined prize pool of $1m (~£744,425), split into a $650,000 (~£483,876) club share and a $350,000 (~£260,548) player share.

This marks another major success for the hosting city, following its 2025 event becoming the first esports tournament to receive the ‘M’ mark status. This is usually given to sporting events that ‘significantly enhance’ Hong Kong’s international image.

The competition is the second confirmed BLAST Rivals in the 2026 calendar, with the last three days of playoffs taking place at the AsiaWorld-Expo. Earlier in the year, BLAST Rivals 2026 will first head over to Fort Worth, Texas, at the Dickies Arena, from April 29th to May 3th.

The 2025 edition of BLAST Rivals was won by FURIA, which beat Team Falcons 3-1 in the grand final and won a fourth title of the season. The event recorded a peak viewership of over 1m during that series, with the average slightly above the 250,000 mark, according to data from Esports Charts. The top four was completed by Team Vitality and paiN Gaming.

BLAST Rivals Season 2 2026 Teams

Just like the 2025 edition, BLAST Rivals Season 2 teams will be decided by the VRS invitations set to be distributed ahead of the tournament. The competition will take the global standings as of October 2026 into account.

The winning team will not only win the major share of the prize pool but also earn two Frequent Flyers Points, which can be used to earn additional prize money from the $2m (~£1.48m) revenue share programme. Last year’s top scorer was Team Vitality, which took home $461,538 (~£343,580), followed by Team Spirit ($423,077, ~£314,949), and G2 Esports ($230,769, ~£171.790).
