Championship Points

As mentioned above, Championship Points will reward teams showcasing the most consistent performances throughout the season with qualification for MSI and Worlds 2026. Apart from this, these will also determine which Guest Teams will fight to retain their spots in the tier-one circuit at the LCP Promotion Series.

Here is the number of Championship Points teams can earn across Split 1, Split 2, and Split 3:

Split 1 and Split 2 Regular Season

  • Game Points will be converted into Championship Points. Each series win will award one point, while a loss will deduct one point.
  • Game Points earned by the end of the Split 2 Regular Season will be doubled.
  • Teams will also be awarded with Standing Points, with the squad finishing first receiving seven Championship Points, the runner-up getting six, and so on.
  • Teams with negative points will have their Championship Points earned from Game Points reset to zero before the next split.

Split 1 and 2 Knockout Stage

  • The top four teams will earn the following number of Championship Points:
    • 1st Place: 20 Points
    • 2nd Place: 15 Points
    • 3rd Place: 10 Points
    • 4th Place: 5 Points

Split 3 Swiss Stage

  • Championship Points will be awarded based on a team’s match results:
    • 3-0: 50 Points
    • 3-1: 40 Points
    • 3-2: 30 Points
    • 2-3: 15 Points
    • 1-3: 3 Points
    • 0-3: 0 Points
  • The tie breaker in the Seeding round will award the winner with five bonus Championship Points.

Split 3 Playoffs

  • The third-place team will receive 15 Championship Points, while the top two organisations will qualify directly for Worlds 2026.

In case multiple teams have the same number of Championship Points, their standings in the Knockout Stage or Playoffs will be used as a tie-breaker.

LCP Promotion Series

Following Split 3, two Guest teams, based on the Championship Points and overall performance, will defend their LCP spots against top teams from regional leagues.

There will be a total of two slots available through the Free-for-All and Regional Merit, with the Guest Teams qualifying for Worlds exempted from the LCP Promotion Series. Riot Games will announce further details about the event at a later date.
