South Korean esports organisation DRX has revealed its latest partnership with Jalbonun St. Mary’s Eye Clinic.

According to the official announcement, the clinic, located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, will be supporting the team’s players health and ensuring they can perform at their best. However, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

While the specific activities planned as part of the collaboration have not been revealed, the collaboration marks a major step forward when it comes to focusing on the player health. In an era where esports athletes are subjected to intensive training hours and competitive schedules, prioritising health and wellness is necessary to maintain the highest performance level possible.

For DRX, this partnership adds one more brand to its growing portfolio, which is currently composed of car manufacturer Porsche, gaming hardware brand ROG, streaming platform SOOP, and food brand Nissin, among others.

Over the past years, health and wellness-related partnerships have become increasingly common in the esports space. In 2025, Cloud9 announced joined hands with Mueller Esports Medicine to promote wellness and gain access to specialised recovery products.

Similarly, German esports team Berlin International Gaming (BIG) signed a deal with digital healthcare provider GreenMedical to run education-focused activations on the use of cannabis and highlight healthcare approaches for regulated consumption.

DRX’s Performance in 2025

Founded in 2018, DRX is mainly known for its presence in League of Legends through the League Champions Korea (LCK), as well as VALORANT’s VCT circuit, and fighting games such as Tekken and Street Fighter 6.

The key results from the 2025 campaign came from Riot Games’ FPS title, where the organisation finished third at the VALORANT Champions Paris. In Tekken 8, its player Yoon ‘LowHigh‘ Sun-woong secured a second place at the Esports World Cup, earning key championship points that allowed DRX to collect $600,000 (~£443,051) from the $27m (~£19.93m) prize pool dedicated to the Club Championship.

Heading into the new season, the South Korean organisation has made key changes to both its VALORANT and League of Legends rosters. On January 8th, its player Cho ‘Flashback‘ Min-hyuk announced his retirement from competitive play, resulting in DRX picking up rookie Ahn ‘Hermes‘ Byeong-wook ahead of the VCT Pacific Kickoff, which officially begins on January 22nd.

For League of Legends, instead, DRX will be making its debut with a revamped lineup at the LCK Cup 2026, facing 2025 champions Gen.G in their opening match on January 15th.
