BIG EQUIPA tops final ESL Impact club incentive programme

BIG EQUIPA has topped the final club incentive standings for women’s Counter-Strike circuit ESL Impact.

The ESL Impact Season 8 champion took home a lion’s share of the $100,000 (~£74,383) club reward. This was split between the eight best teams throughout Season 8.

ESL reveals that BIG EQUIPA took home $25,000 (~£18,595) in prize money, with runners-up MIBR securing $20,000 (~£14,878) respectively.

In addition to the club reward, the tournament organiser offered $250,000 (~£185,983) for organisations to create short-form and long-form video content as a fan engagement initiative.

Based on the engagement distribution of the videos created, Swedish esports organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas topped the standings, taking home a combined $70,000 (~£52,080).

BIG EQUIPA secured third place in the short-form initiative and second in the long-form standings, securing a total of $55,000 (~£40,915) in addition to the club reward and winning ESL Impact’s season-ending event.

Throughout 2025, ESL’s club incentives have provided organisations with additional income. Outside of ESL Impact, Saudi Arabian organisation Team Falcons topped the standings, taking home $407,422 (~£303,219).

Launched in 2022, ESL Impact aimed to promote and grow women’s Counter-Strike. Over the past four years, the event has distributed $1.2m (~£893,220) in prize money alongside attracting some of the world’s largest esports organisations.

In October 2025, the tournament organiser announced the indefinite suspension of the circuit, citing the unsustainability of its current economic model as a factor behind the decision.

As a result, several organisations have parted ways with women’s Counter-Strike rosters due to the ecosystem’s uncertain future.

January saw ESL return to women’s Counter-Strike, joining forces with Brace for Impact to support the community with a range of competitive events taking place throughout the year.
