French esports organisation Team Vitality has expanded into Age of Empires esports with the signing of three high-profile names.
The trio of Kai ‘Liereyy‘ Kallinger, Hamzah ‘Hera‘ El-Baher, and Hernan ‘Hearttt‘ Boularte Pizarro will represent the organisation in upcoming tournaments for the real-time strategy title.
Unveiled on January 15th, 2026, Age of Empires is the latest title the organisation has entered. The title is the second real-time strategy game that Team Vitality is fielding players in, joining StarCraft II on its extensive roster of esports teams.
Each of the three players possesses a wealth of experience in Age of Empires esports, having competed in several high-profile events over the last decade. In 2025, Hera cemented his place as one of the world’s best players, winning nine events while competing under the GamerLegion banner.
The trio are no stranger to competing under the same team. Between 2017 and 2024, the players represented Aftermath in solo and team events before it disbanded in March 2024.
Age of Empires esports has continued to display impressive growth in recent months. Red Bull Wololo heads to London in April for its eighth edition, featuring Age of Empires II and IV tournaments. The Age of Empires II tournament will see players compete for a $170,000 (~£126,879) prize pool.
Team Vitality In 2026
Expansion into Age of Empires continues a busy start to 2026 for Team Vitality. On January 9th, the organisation unveiled its 2026 jersey as part of a new collaboration with French streetwear brand Fulllife.
Elsewhere, its esports rosters are already starting the year on the front foot. Team Vitality’s Counter-Strike team is competing in BLAST Bounty Season 1, while its Rocket League roster is taking part in the second RLCS Open event as it looks to secure qualification for the Boston Major taking place in February.
