Luminosity payment issues rise in the midst of acquisition struggles

After its acquisition by Vertiqal, word of Luminosity payment issues has spread online. 

Seemingly caused by struggles in the acquisition process and an underestimation of the esports organisation’s debts, creators demand improved communication from the new owners.

Public complaints of Luminosity payment and communication breakdown

The first claims of missing payments came from a graphic artist who completed work for Luminosity Gaming. In a post on X (Twitter), he claims he has not received any Luminosity payment since June 2025.

The latest Pokémon TCG Pocket Deluxe Pack ex update is out now, but a lot of players are feeling let down.

Some are disappointed that the Pokémon Pocket Mega Evolution expansion and its leaked release date aren’t sooner.

However, the main frustration is how publisher DeNa has handled the new Deluxe Pack ex update.

Instead, the new limited-time packs only offer reprints and new versions of old cards from previous expansions with a guaranteed rare card.

Heavy metal band Spiritbox tease 2XKO and League of Legends collaboration

Spiritbox singer Courtney LaPlante has teased a new song in collaboration with League of Legends fighting game, 2XKO.

The Canadian heavy metal band have had a huge 2025 after the release of their second album “Tsunami Sea.”

Spiritbox have supported Linkin Park, performed on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, and LaPlante even performed at Coachella with Megan Thee Stallion.

Now, it appears Spiritbox are working with Riot Games on 2XKO following a teaser posted by LaPlante on Instagram.

The Tottenham Hotspur Game to Glory initiative aims at engaging students across the country.

What is the Tottenham Hotspur Game to Glory initiative?

The Tottenham Hotspur Game to Glory gaming initiative will see U.S. students aged 13 to 22 compete in two EA FC 26 tournaments.

Winners will advance to the semifinals and finals, which will be livestreamed on November 10th.

EA Sports FC publisher Electronic Arts agrees £41 billion buyout deal

Electronic Arts, the creators of games including EA Sports FC, Madden and The Sims, is set to be taken private following a record $55 billion (£41bn) buyout.

It is thought to be the largest leveraged buyout in history with a significant amount of the purchase financed by borrowing money.

The deal will take EA private, meaning all of its public shares will be purchased and no longer be traded on the stock exchange.

Riot Games has revealed why they have decided to scrap the League of Legends Championship of the Americas (LTA) after just one year.

In 2024, Riot Games attempted a major regional rebrand, combining the Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends (CBLoL) and the North American League Championship Series (LCS) under one banner.

This merged North and South America into one competitive structure, connected through cross-conference matches.
