PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 full lineup revealed

The full list of teams competing at PGL Bucharest 2025 has been revealed with teams set to compete for a $1.25 million (£929,000) prize pool.

Notably, several top teams have decided to decline an invite, with just two of the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) top 10 opting to take part.

This is likely due to the short gap between the PGL Masters Bucharest and IEM Chengdu 2025.

Originally, the Bucharest event was set to finish one day before IEM Chengdu got underway.

ENCE withdraw from tournament to replace Virtus.pro at ESL Pro League

Virtus.pro has been replaced by ENCE at the ESL Pro League Season 22 tournament in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Russian esports organisation was forced to withdraw from the event in a blow to their hopes of qualifying for the StarLadder Budapest Major.

ENCE had been taking part in the Birch Cup tournament in Poland. However, the team had to pack up their things and leave, as they withdrew from the Birch Cup so they could fly to Sweden for the ESL Pro League event.

LoL Worlds 2025: Teams and seeding confirmed

The League of Legends World Championship 2025 (LoL Worlds 2025) is rapidly approaching and here we have the list of all the confirmed teams, as well as their seeding.

Taking place in China, 17 teams will battle it out to become League of Legends champions for 2025.

The tournament will start with a Play-In on Tuesday, October 14th, before a Swiss Stage will determine the eight teams that take part in the Knockout Stage.

The annual conference started in Liverpool on Sunday and runs until Wednesday, October 1st.

JD Gaming still have a chance to qualify for LoL Worlds after defeating Weibo Gaming 3-1 in the LPL Regional Finals.

JDG will now face Invictus Gaming tomorrow to decide which team will be the LPL’s final Worlds 2025 representative.

Meanwhile, Weibo have been eliminated from Worlds contention and will have to settle for LoL’s newest international tournament, the Asia Invitational.

On the back of Xuns smite key, @JDGaming take the series 3 – 1 against @WeiboGamingLoL and will compete against @invgaming tomorrow for the #LPL 4th seed at worlds!

Caliste beats Skewmond to LEC Rookie of the Year 2025 award

Karmine Corp ADC Caliste ‘Caliste’ Henry-Hennebert has been named the LEC 2025 Rookie of the Year.

The 19-year-old Frenchman was handed the award before KCorp battled with Fnatic in the LEC Summer Split Playoffs.

Caliste defeated stern competition, as a lot of rookies had very good debut years in the LEC this season.

This comes after the LEC Rookie of the Year award criteria changed to allow Summer debutants to compete in the following year.

Fnatic qualify for LoL Worlds 2025 and eliminate Karmine Corp

Fnatic have progressed through the LEC Summer Playoff Finals and booked their place at the League of Legends World Championships.

The prestigious EMEA organisation qualified for LoL Worlds for the ninth consecutive year after defeating Karmine Corp 3-1.

This means LEC Winter Champions and First Stand attendees KCorp have been eliminated from Worlds contention and their season is over.

Fnatic will represent the LEC at the international tournament, but first will be focused on battling Movistar KOI and G2 Esports for the LEC title.
