Magisk rejoins Astralis CS2 roster after he was benched by Falcons

Astralis has announced that Counter-Strike icon Emil ‘Magisk’ Reif has rejoined its CS2 roster after he was benched by the Falcons.

Magisk previously competed for Astralis between 2018 and 2021, winning three Major titles and an array of other Tier 1 tournaments during the game’s Global Offensive era.

His return to Astralis follows Martin ‘stavn’ Lund’s decision to step back from the starting lineup due to personal circumstances.

Astralis confirmed the news on the social media platform X on Monday morning.

Tundra Esports makes roster change just three days before The International 2025

UK-based organisation Tundra Esports has been forced into a last-minute change ahead of The International 2025.

Dota 2’s season-ending event will see 16 teams from around the world head to Hamburg, Germany, for the tournament, which is set to begin on Thursday, September 4th.

Originally, the Tundra Esports team included Matthew ‘Whitemon’ Filemon on the starting line-up, in the fourteenth edition of Valve’s season-ending annual tournament for the MOBA title.

However, it has now been revealed that Whitemon is unable to represent the organisation at The International 2025.

K-pop star Hina named as ambassador for esports team DRX

Hina, a member of K-pop band QWER, has been named as a new official ambassador for South Korean esports organisation DRX.

DRX, who has teams that compete on games including League of Legends, Valorant and Tekken, confirmed the news in a social media post in the early hours of Monday morning.

It comes at a time of a growing crossover between K-pop and esports.

In a social media post on X, the esports organisation described Hina as the ‘protagonist of a new journey with DRX’.

North American esports organisation 100 Thieves have announced a new collaboration with the hit anime, Demon Slayer.

No information has yet been revealed, including whether this will be a merchandise partnership but more information will be revealed on Friday, September 5th.

Though the caption of “Enter the Infinity Compound” from the teaser gives a big clue.

The collaboration clearly involves the upcoming Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie, which releases on September 12th.
