Falcons Counter-Strike team suffer shock early elimination in Austin Major

After a devastating performance in the early stages of BLAST’s Counter-Strike Austin Major, the Falcons Counter-Strike team left the competition in 20th-22nd place. 

The star-studded team was seen as favourites in Stage Two of the tournament. However, they only won a single game against OG, losing to B8, Lynn Vision Gaming, and MIBR.

Counter-Strike legend and Team Vitality star, Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut, has announced a specially designed mouse.

Titled ‘The Chosen Mouse’, the peripheral was designed in collaboration with ZywOo to fit the style of the legendary player.

Produced by Pulsar Gaming Gears, the mouse will be available on Wednesday, June 11th for €149.90 (~£126.21).

Esports-inspired streaming platform Noice forced to close

Livestreaming platform Noice, which uniquely allowed viewers to ‘play the stream, not just watch,’ is shutting down.

The platform raised $27m (£20m) in investment in 2023 but is now closing after a fruitless funding round last week.

Noice intended to increase viewer engagement by turning gaming streams into interactive, predictive card games in which viewers guessed what would happen next.

Additionally, last year Noice launched a rewards programme for UK and European streamers which gave high-performing streamers virtual items which would later be exchangeable for cash.

The first team from China’s League of Legends Pro League (LPL) has qualified for the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).

Anyone’s Legend have been rising through the ranks of the LPL this year, taking down favourites Bilibili Gaming along the way.

MSI will be the organisation’s first-ever international event, after dwelling at the bottom of the LPL for many years.

League of Legends is getting Viktor’s old design back as a new skin

Riot Games has confirmed Viktor is getting a new skin in League of Legends, which will turn the champion back into his former design.

The mage received a huge visual and gameplay update last December to more closely match the character from Netflix’s Arcane series.

The Viktor LoL VGU offered some great, quality-of-life gameplay changes like his ultimate, Arcane Storm, increasing in size after taking down opponents.

However, the new visual direction was disliked and heavily criticised by a lot of Viktor mains.

Jojopyun makes history as Movistar KOI win LEC Spring 2025

Movistar KOI defeated G2 Esports in the 2025 LEC Spring Playoffs final in a slightly surprising result.

The impressive 3-1 victory earned a first major League of Legends title for MKOI who are partially owned by popular streamer Ibai and former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.

The day before, they defeated the Winter champions and their rivals, Karmine Corp, 3-2 in a thrilling Lower Bracket Final.

Element X forms from EXO Clan and Element 6 founders

As teased by EXO Clan founder Kris ‘Exodus’ Partell, a new UK esports organisation has been formed from former EXO Clan and Element 6 founders called Element X.

This comes without the involvement of the former EXO Clan members Jack ‘iJackmc’ McPoland and Grant ‘GranticusCya’ Aldridge, who abruptly ceased operations last month.

Exodus, Element 6 founders Mete ‘Sineska’ Karaoglan and Marvin ‘MRVN’ Liklikwatil, will be heading the organisation, alongside One Shot Events host Ellen Bradford.

The club is known for hosting The Champions, Wimbledon, which is one of the four major Grand Slams in tennis.

The Wimbledon eChamps will run from June 9th until July 19th 2025, and feature the mobile game Tennis Clash and PS5 game TopSpin 2K25.
