Element X forms from EXO Clan and Element 6 founders

As teased by EXO Clan founder Kris ‘Exodus’ Partell, a new UK esports organisation has been formed from former EXO Clan and Element 6 founders called Element X.

This comes without the involvement of the former EXO Clan members Jack ‘iJackmc’ McPoland and Grant ‘GranticusCya’ Aldridge, who abruptly ceased operations last month.

Exodus, Element 6 founders Mete ‘Sineska’ Karaoglan and Marvin ‘MRVN’ Liklikwatil, will be heading the organisation, alongside One Shot Events host Ellen Bradford.

And his timing couldn’t be much better, as defeat in their next series will spell elimination from the tournament for Team Liquid.

The All England Lawn Tennis Club has announced the return of its esports tournament, the Wimbledon eChamps, with the support of American Express.

The club is known for hosting The Champions, Wimbledon, which is one of the four major Grand Slams in tennis.

The Wimbledon eChamps will run from June 9th until July 19th 2025, and feature the mobile game Tennis Clash and PS5 game TopSpin 2K25.

NLC, the League of Legends tournament for the UK and Nordic countries, is still dominating viewership.

The NLC was the most popular EMEA Regional League (ERL), with around 3 million hours watched according to Esports Charts.

There is a clear top two with France’s LFL following close behind on 2.73m hours watched.

Chinese AD carry and now Hall of Legends honouree Jian ‘Uzi’ Zi-Hao has been officially inducted into the Hall of Legends after today’s ceremony.

The Hall of Legends Induction Ceremony welcomed esports veterans and fans to honour the latest member to stand alongside Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok.

A documentary detailing his career will be published with the Hall of Legends event on Wednesday, June 11th.

Red Bull Tetris set to take to the sky

In celebration of World Tetris Day, the iconic puzzle game is heading to new heights with energy drink brand Red Bull in a new tournament called Red Bull Tetris.

The global tournament launches today as global qualifiers open for players of all skill levels who are over 18 years old.

The grand final will take place from December 11th to 13th this year in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where the final game will be played with over 2,000 airborne drones inside the legendary Dubai Frame.

Marvel’s gaming division, alongside Sony Interactive Entertainment, has recently announced a brand-new 4v4 fighting game developed by Arc System Works.

Known for its work on Dragon Ball FighterZ, the Japanese developers have now taken on the challenge of a Marvel-licensed fighting game.

Revealed during PlayStation’s State of Play announcement, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls offers easy-to-pick-up but hard-to-master gameplay with established Marvel characters, each with their own unique fighting styles and abilities.

Perkz retires from League Of Legends – announces first child

One of the greatest Western League of Legends players of all time, Luka ‘Perkz’ Perković, has retired.

The legendary esports pro took to social media to announce the news with a six-minute-long video in which he said:

“I’m retiring from playing competitively. I’m retiring at 26 years old. It sounds crazy, but it’s esports.”
