British streamer Aimsey becomes latest Red Bull UK player

British Twitch streaming star Aimee ‘Aimsey’ Davies has been unveiled as the newest Red Bull Player.

With a combined following of over 4.8 million across Twitch and TikTok, Aimsey has built a devoted community through their inclusive, entertaining streams playing games like Minecraft and Among Us.

In 2022, Welsh streamer Aimsey was awarded LGBTQ+ Streamer of the Year at the Gayming Awards, in recognition of their impact within the gaming and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Call of Duty: Mobile wildcards ‘under review’ ahead of World Championship

Call of Duty: Mobile has revealed that the use of wildcards has been restricted ahead of the 2025 World Championship.

The change to the ruleset was added to Call of Duty: Mobile’s esports setting page on May 19th.

A statement within the title’s rule changelogs said: “Wildcards are currently under review for the 2025 World Championships.

“Depending on their development throughout the year, their restriction status may or may not be updated in the future.”

The news comes at a time when players are looking to qualify for the World Championships, with qualifiers beginning last month.

Natus Vincere will reportedly replace Rogue in the LEC Summer Split 2025

Rogue are allegedly set to leave competitive League of Legends imminently.

According to reports from Sheep Esports, Ukrainian esports organisation Natus Vincere (NAVI) are acquiring Rogue’s spot in the LEC.

Allegedly, the new organisation are expected to announce the takeover as soon as the end of the current Spring Split (June 8th) and will then join ahead of the LEC Summer Split 2025.

How much NAVI have had to pay to join the LEC has not been confirmed.

This marks the sixth consecutive year that AGON by AOC has topped the charts.

In Q2 of 2024, their gaming monitors reached a record 20 percent of total monitor shipments worldwide. 

Making them one of the biggest gaming monitor providers in the world right now.

Over 400 esports players report symptoms of depression, new study finds

New research from The GG Project has explored the current state of mental health in esports and highlighted the psychological strain esports players sustain.

The GG Project—The Good Game: Promoting Mental Health in Esports—is an initiative led by Vrije Universiteit Brussel—the Free University of Brussels—and supported by seven partners, including the Belgian Esports Federation and G2 Esports.

Funded by the EU’s Erasmus Sport programme, the project set out to understand and improve mental health across all levels of esports. 

Between October 2024 and February 2025—in a one-time international survey—the GG Project research collected data from more than 1,000 players, exploring issues like depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbance.
