Pokémon Legends Z-A reveals FIVE Mega Evolutions but they’re locked behind paywalls

As an extraordinary surprise, FIVE new Mega Evolutions have been revealed for Pokémon Legends Z-A on Nintendo Switch 2.

The Kalos trio of Greninja, Delphox, and Chesnaught, the starters of X and Y where Mega Evolution began, have been given new Mega forms.

However, these will need to be earned through playing online ranked with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription required.

Additionally, iconic evolution of Pikachu, Raichu, has been given two Mega Evolutions as part of the new new Mega Dimension DLC.

Major upset sees Team Vitality eliminated from RLCS World Championship 2025

Team Vitality have been shockingly eliminated early from the Rocket League Championship Series 2025 – World Championships.

The all-French roster were knocked out in front of a home crowd in the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France.

Vitality are former World Champions and were favoured on Rocket League betting sites to do well in this year’s event.

Especially with two of last year’s World Champions, Evan ‘M0nkey M00n’ Rogez and Brice ‘ExoTiiK’ Bigeard, and one of Rocket League’s greatest ever pros in Alexis ‘zen’ Bernier.

Tundra Esports have crashed out of The International playoffs after a 2-0 defeat to Heroic.

The loss follows their upper bracket defeat to event favourites Xtreme Gaming, also a 2-0 defeat.

Tundra’s elimination highlights Liquid’s failure

Tundra were forced into a roster change just three days before The International commenced, as Matthew ‘Whitemon’ Filemon faced Visa issues which prevented his attendance in Germany.

Despite playing with Tobias ‘Tobi’ Buchner, Tundra defeated Team Liquid in the play-in stage of the event after going 2-3 in the Swiss group stage.

The Rocket League World Championship was turned upside down on Thursday evening as The Ultimates and Wildcard defeated Karmine Corp and Dignitas to progress through Group A into the playoffs, guaranteeing Top 6 for the relative underdogs.

Friday’s matches will see the remaining four spots of the playoffs be decided, as heavyhitters remain with their lives on the line in the lower bracket.

Karmine Corp were favourites for the event with esports betting sites prior to Thursday’s action, but their Upper Bracket semi-final against The Ultimates showed that there is no easy path in Rocket League.

Prior to Team Spirit announcing the signing of Andrey ‘tN1R’ Tatarinovich, the organisation released a statement regarding Myroslav ‘zont1x’ Plakhotia.

The statement outlined zont1x’s alleged request for time away from the game for personal reasons, thanking him for his contributions and stating “your return is highly anticipated.”

Later, zont1x posted on X, corroborating the statement. zont1x’s statement reads, “To anyone seeking more clarity regarding my departure from Team Spirit’s active roster

“After the major, I asked the management for a break from competing due to several personal reasons,” the Ukrainian revealed.

Endpoint Pete: “Our goal is always to get back into having a professional Counter-Strike team”

On August 26, Endpoint co-founder and CEO, Adam Jessop, made a series of posts outlining Endpoint’s current relationship with esports.

Jessop stated, “As much as it pains myself and Pete, having a competitive esports team is not our core focus anymore… but for now we are focused on areas of the business that are showing growth.”

The statement was no surprise to fans of Endpoint’s esports division. November 2024 saw Endpoint remove itself from the RLCS for the 2025 season, before the decision was taken to pause its Counter-Strike division in February 2025.

Gabe ‘GabeN’ Newell appeared in the opening ceremony of The International 2025, in front of Hamburg’s Barclays Arena and over 100k fans watching on stream.

GabeN, president and co-founder of Valve, has several times noted his love for DotA 2 and is an active player of the game.

The remarks were made prior to TI’s playoffs commencing, with Xtreme Gaming taking on Tundra in the first series of the day.
