G2 join Team Vitality as BLAST London Finalists after delivering decisive defeat to FURIA

Following a dominant win against FURIA, G2 join Team Vitality as BLAST London Finalists. 

Their 2-0 result puts the BLAST Open Fall trophy within reach, but G2 will face tough competition from Vitality in the Grand Final.

G2 dominate Semifinals to become BLAST London Finalists 

Despite the presence of passionate FURIA fans in the crowd, G2 immediately built momentum in their first map on Inferno. FURIA were left trailing, with G2 in control of the narrative. 

All chances of a comeback were denied, and Map 1 ended on a 13-5 score to G2. 

Mirage had the potential to bring FURIA back into the game.

After G2 were deprived of Ilya ‘m0NESY’ Osipov, four and a half months after losing legendary rifler Nikola ‘NiKo’ Kovač, many assumed that G2’s days of fighting for trophies were over.

Mere months later, G2 are establishing themselves as Tier 1 contenders. With huNter- stepping up to IGL under the stewardship of Eetu ‘sAw’ Saha, G2 are looking to utilise the sheer firepower of their rifling core and hunt for trophies.

The quarter-final defeat came after a hugely positive event, which saw M80 make a big arena stage for the first time. Swisher reflected on the arena atmosphere, their failings in the match, and looked ahead to the second half of M80’s season.

FaZe BLAST Open 2025 disappointment after Quarterfinal loss to G2, but it’s not the end for the jcobbb roster

The FaZe BLAST Open 2025 journey ends in bitter disappointment. After making it to the Playoffs, their time on the London stage was brutally halted by G2 Esports. 

Despite G2 Esports being in the process of rebuilding their competitive reputation, they were able to defeat FaZe Clan in only two maps during the BLAST Open Quarterfinal.
