The M80 BLAST London journey ends with MOUZ in tense Quarterfinal

After reaching the Playoffs as popular underdogs, the M80 BLAST Open London journey came to an unfortunate end with their loss to MOUZ.

While M80 are forced to say goodbye to their trophy dreams, MOUZ must now face Team Vitality in a tough Semifinal.

A short but sweet M80 BLAST journey: the “Cat and MOUZ” Quarterfinal

The M80 BLAST campaign did not end without a fight. The best-of-three ran a full series thanks to M80’s Map 2 Mirage win.

Despite the backing of a home crowd for M80 coach, Rory ‘dephh’ Jackson, MOUZ were firm favourites on Counter-Strike betting sites.

Mouz move on to play Vitality in the Semi-Finals on Saturday.

A 2-1 victory against M80. Were you expecting M80 to put up such a fight?

karrigan: “Now it’s back to the old FaZe Clan”

Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most versatile IGLs of all time, able to muster magic out of whatever pieces he is provided with. karrigan famously has won multiple events with stand-ins, most notably IEM Katowice 2022, where Justin ‘jks’ Savage stood in for multiple roles on FaZe’s way to Katowice glory.

Yet in 2025, FaZe and karrigan could not find the solutions within the game to make Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski fit in a FaZe Clan that philosophically clashed with the methodical and structured style that EliGE brought with him.

Counter-Strike used as evidence in Lucas Paquetá bet-fixing trial

The English Football Association (FA) used texts from a Counter-Strike-themed group chat to accuse Lucas Paquetá of spot-fixing.

The West Ham midfielder was accused of intentionally getting yellow cards in four different Premier League matches to rig bets.

The FA alleged that 253 separate bettors put money on Paqueta being booked in at least one of those games, for a total profit of approximately £167k.

A 12-week court hearing threatened a lifetime ban for Paquetá, but an independent Regulatory Commission cleared him of any wrongdoing.

Lake on NA CS: “It’s probably worse than it ever has been”

Mason ‘Lake’ Sanderson emerged into the Tier 1 scene last July. Upon joining M80, Lake’s explosive aggression instantly marked him as a top talent in the NA scene – an unexpected emergence of talent in a scene that is rarely creating new stars.

The first season of 2025 saw Lake coming to terms with a Tier 1 who now knew his style, playing in a roster that struggled to perform for much of the season, but their BLAST Open London playoff berth showed both M80’s increased synergy with Jadan ‘HexT’ Postma and Lake’s return to form with victories over NaVi and fnatic.
