A new BLAST Chengdu Dota 2 tournament has been announced for December 5th to 7th, 2025, adding to the long list of esports events held in the city this year. 

Dota 2 Slam V will be run in collaboration with the Chengdu Broadcasting Film and Television Group as part of a three-year partnership with BLAST.

BLAST Dota 2 Slam V heads to China

The 12,000-seat Wuliangye Chengdu Performing Arts Centre will host the BLAST Chengdu Dota 2 tournament from the 5th to the 7th of December.

The challenges unlocked massive rewards, including a 99-rated Ronaldinho Icon and the Griddy celebration for EA FC 26.

This will be the only way for FC 26 FUT players to perform the viral dance after scoring a goal.

To celebrate the end of EA FC 25, EA are holding a mini Ultimate Team event called the “Griddy Cup.”

The event requires players to log in for multiple days and complete daily Griddy to Glory objectives.

What is the zont1x transfer?

Initially, reports from various Counter-Strike news outlets suggested that Myroslav ‘zont1x’ Plakhotia was due to be replaced by Andrey ‘tN1R’ Tatarinovich from HEROIC.

These reports also stated that tN1R would join the Team Spirit roster after the conclusion of the Esports World Cup.

Esports News UK has been in contact with multiple ‘Superfans’ who attended the Esports World Cup Counter-Strike & Apex events. The fans, who received free travel, accommodation and tickets to events through organisations making use of EWC’s Superfan program, revealed several peculiarities of the Riyadh event.

While some of the Superfans relayed an overall positive experience, they were also allegedly subject to censorship, unequal treatment, and lacked reasonable access to water on EWC’s final day of the Counter-Strike 2 event.
