Is the zont1x transfer cancelled? Team Spirit’s roster delay, explained

Rumours continue to circulate regarding the Team Spirit zont1x transfer.

Initially, speculation was that roster changes would be made after the Esports World Cup. However, the organisation’s IEM Chengdu roster announcement suggested he will remain with them for the November tournament.

What is the zont1x transfer?

Initially, reports from various Counter-Strike news outlets suggested that Myroslav ‘zont1x’ Plakhotia was due to be replaced by Andrey ‘tN1R’ Tatarinovich from HEROIC.

These reports also stated that tN1R would join the Team Spirit roster after the conclusion of the Esports World Cup.

T1 and Faker now in control of their LCK fate

T1 and Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok are now in control of whether they will finish 2nd in the LCK Legends group. They do so after defeating HLE in three games as the LCK kicks off its final week of action.

Second in the LCK would give T1 a berth into Playoffs Round 2, and would mean they are guaranteed to avoid Gen.G in Round 2, who have largely dominated the LCK in 2025, dropping only a single series, making them favourites for the LCK title with esports betting sites.

Esports News UK has been in contact with multiple ‘Superfans’ who attended the Esports World Cup Counter-Strike & Apex events. The fans, who received free travel, accommodation and tickets to events through organisations making use of EWC’s Superfan program, revealed several peculiarities of the Riyadh event.

While some of the Superfans relayed an overall positive experience, they were also allegedly subject to censorship, unequal treatment, and lacked reasonable access to water on EWC’s final day of the Counter-Strike 2 event.

2XKO beta will feature accidentally leaked champion Blitzcrank

Riot Games has accidentally leaked that Blitzcrank will be the next champion in 2XKO.

Eagled-eye fans noticed the giant steam golem appeared on the 2XKO cover on Riot’s support page.

Now, it has been confirmed that he is indeed coming to the League of Legends-based fighter as the game’s ninth champion.

Also, Riot has revealed that Blitzcrank will be playable in the upcoming closed beta.

Blitzcrank was supposed to be unveiled next week.
